2nd Floor Lounge: Gremlin Bite Support Group

Marty walks into the lounge and sets up all the chairs and sofas so that they are in a circle.

He sits down and hopes that other people who have been bitten by gremlins will show up.

The gremlins, having studied the poster brought down to the basement, had come up to observe the meeting just in case HE was going to try and lead another gremlin hunt. A repetition of that horrible day would not be repeated if the gremlins could help it.

Eyes stared out of every vent in the room. Their owners quiet as they listened to the students discuss their experiences. Normally, they would have snickered over the those stories, but tonight was business.

"Hey Guys... I'm going to turn this over to Veronica, because I'm not really into this whole meeting thing. But I'm here to talk at least."

"Okay, so Marty and I had the idea for this group right after I got bit and he was trying to encourage me to actually leave my dorm room," Veronica explains. "I proposed it to Principal Bristow as my final project in Speech last term and he was receptive, but told me I should broaden the scope to include people who have survived other traumatic events at Fandom High and take it to the student council."

She pauses. "But, since StuCo is being revamped, Marty and I decided to have an unoffical meeting to see what kind of interest there would be in having a group like this on campus. There's only one rule for tonight's discussion and that is no one is allowed to make fun of what anyone else did when they were under the influence of a gremlin bite. This is a support group, not a mocking group."

She looks around the room. "Anyone have any thoughts?"

Marty stands up. "So anyway. What Mars said really. I think it would be a good idea for everyone to talk about their feelings on the subject. I've been bitten three times. Once I thought I was principal Connor. Another time I thought some cookies were made out of people and the last time I thought I was an elf."

"Who else would like to share their story?"

"You know... HAve we tried everything to get rid of these guys? I mean we get rid of some and they always come back."

Gremlin Defense Force! ATTACK!

They were talking about extermination! This would not do! Whispers were passes through the ventilation system. The gremlins manning the vents began to unscrew them, waiting for the final signal to throw them open.

One gremlin shoved his way to the front. He was larger and had decorated himself with many strands of tinsel and other shiny bangles. This was one of the gremlin battle leader. He moved to the front of one shaft and, making sure that he had sight lines to the other vents, gave the final cry to set off the charge.

All at once, the vents opened and 15 gremlins ran into the room squeaking their fearsome battle cry. They came at the students from all directions and were on them before anyone could react. They went in biting. They bit at any exposed flesh they could both see and reach. Ankles, calves, legs, hands, arms, elbows... no exposed limbs were safe.

"Oh, no!" Parker Carol looked around, dismayed. "Tiger's gone! We can't let him run off here, he could bother people. Or get hurt!"

"Kids! Everyone search for Tiger, and meet back here in thirty minutes, okay?"
