2nd floor common room, evening

Cameron's in the common room. It might appear as if he's just watching the Cartoon Network while in fact he's making notes. Apparently thanks to professor Tick, cartoons are now great study material for Criminal Justice classes. There's a bunch of homemade chocolate cakes on the table, but he doesn't seem to be touching them.

"Yes, that sounds about right for him," snorts Archie on his way in. He sprawls out across the floor, smirking. "Hello, Cameron."

"Frak you, Kennedy," snaps Anders, throwing a week-old bagel someone had left under the table at Archie's head.

And because it's a week-old bagel that was left sitting out, it makes quite the sound on impact. Luckily for Anders, it bounced off the carpet before hitting Archie in the head.

"Anders!" Cally grumpily shouts from the doorframe. "What the frak are you doing?"

"It looks like he just threw something at Archie," John says, pointing out the obvious.

"Um." Anders turns very red. "He pissed me off again?"

Cally shakes her head and starts walking out. "Stupid frakking boys..."

"We're not all stupid," John says and flutters his eyes at her. "Some of us are just misunderstood."

Cally stops and rolls her eyes. "G'uh. Misunderstood, huh? Well then, understand yourself at me, then." She crosses her arms.

Anders gulps. Given a choice between admitting Archie's right and Cally being mad at him, he'll take the humiliation from the stupid frakking sailor boy.

"Yeah, okay, I'm stupid, all right, coach? Sorry."

Cally picks up the bagel and throws it at Archie's head. "You stay out of this!"

"I'm stupid...sometimes," John says, compromising. "Sometimes my brilliance is mistaken for stupidity."

Archie feigns wide-eyed innocence at Cally. "He started it, you know."

"Yeah, and if you don't butt out, I'm gonna end it." Cally growls.

"Yo, Archie." Cameron ducks as Anders throws the bagle."

"How have you been, Cameron?" Archie glares in Anders's direction and rubs the side of his head where the bagel hit him. "You're hardly worth the effort of retaliation, you know, Samuel."

"Good, classes going again so I'll keep busy. You?" Cameron ignores the bickering.

"Well enough, although I have to admit driver's education is somewhat intimidating. How have your classes been so far?"

"They've been good. I'm enjoying Self-Defense, might get to be TA for it." Cameron grins. "You're taking driver's ed?"

Archie shrugs helplessly. "History of War was my first choice, but it was awfully popular and I'm not high up on the ranking ladder. And, well, driver's ed was easily available. I can't say I'm thrilled. I still haven't gotten used to the telephone."

"You'll be fine, it's all about reflexes. It might be scary at first, but... When do you have the class?"

"Wednesdays, eighth period, so the first class was yesterday." He frowns. "I get a very odd, unsettling feeling when I'm in there."
