2nd floor common room, evening

Cameron's in the common room. It might appear as if he's just watching the Cartoon Network while in fact he's making notes. Apparently thanks to professor Tick, cartoons are now great study material for Criminal Justice classes. There's a bunch of homemade chocolate cakes on the table, but he doesn't seem to be touching them.

"Duo!" John waves Duo inside. "You're alive! I thought maybe Hamlet locked you in the bathroom or something."

"John, man!" Duo says enthusiastically. "How the heck are ya?" Duo laughs at John's comment and gestures somewhat wildly. "You know, man, I wouldnta put it past him! I think he's still sore about the whole, pillow fort thing." Duo grins cheekily.

"I'm doing good. Classes have started and I'm all tired and stuff but I'm good," John says. "Well, Hamlet's never gonna live down the Pillow Fort, honestly. How's the beginning of term going?"

Duo laughs. "I shoulda thought ahead and gotten pictures of the pillow fort, man. Or at least ol' Hamlet clutching the cupcakes and pillows!" He laughs harder and shakes his head. "Man, it was good for the guy, really, he needs to get out more." He nods. "Classes are good over here, too. Oh! I managed to get into Shop class, like you were tellin' me to! I already got to break a code lock!"

"You're in Shop?!" John grins. "Me too! We must've missed each other during the code breaking. How'd you get yours open?"

"Really!? Cool, dude! Well, since I couldn't use my lock pick or my electronic code breaker, I just did it manually." He shrugs. "It took a little longer, but hey! Wasn't like there was a bomb gonna go off if I took a few more minutes!" He grins.

"I made a fire and made the alarm go off thus opening the door," John says. "I think I'm really gonna like that class. Lots of stuff to do without listening to a million billion boring lectures."

Duo nods and grins. "Hey, that's a good one! Triggerin' an already existing system to avoid the problem of bein' detected, not bad, man! Yeah, it's way interestin', sittin' still too long for lectures and stuff makes me nuts!"

"Me too," John agrees. "And we're only in the first week of classes. Who knows what we'll get to do in the future. Building stuff is fun! Oh hey, I sent a letter to my dad about that stuff I said I'd get you."

Duo nods and grins. "Totally, man! Can't wait to see what our assignments are gonna be!" Duo's eyes go wide. "Dude, really? That's so cool of you, man!" He claps John on the shoulder. "Thanks, man! That rocks, seriously!"
