Rooms 239/240: Moving Day [After Classes]

Even though Marty was given an invitation to move into Room 239/240 by Jack on Sunday, it wasn't until today that Marty finally found the time to pack up his belongings and start the migration to his new digs down the hall.

Sure... Some people would say he was crazy to give up a single but Marty couldn't resist the opportunity to figure out what those Colorado Refugees were trying to hide from the rest of the school.

Marty picked up his first box and looked over to Camilla.

"C'mon girl. Let's go meet our new roomies."

So together Marty and his pet chicken started the migration down the hallway.

[Open to all to want to help Marty move... and the unsuspecting residents of 239/240 of course]

"Mine!" Elizabeth yelped, grabbing for it.

She rolled her eyes. "No, one is Janet's (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomhighdorms/393119.html?thread=16637343#t16637343). Obviously I can only buy for people I know who are in my room."

Janet held her coffee protectively and eyed Marty. He looked like the type to steal coffee from innocent young high school girls. Not that she was all that innocent. But she was currently young and in high school.

"You have to contribute to the coffee fund," said Janet. We just bought a coffee maker. She nodded over at it. "And don't steal the chocolate Liz and I bring in. Okay?"

What was Marty getting that weird expression for? Janet shook her head and went over to her closet to rummage through her basket of unfolded laundry. "I could swear I had a pair of jeans in the wash last night," she muttered, trying to block Marty's view of the portable defibrillator.

Janet closed her closet door a little more firmly than she'd intended.

"No," she said slowly, straightening up and turning around. "We didn't. Why would we know you were moving in?"

They hadn't known Charlie was moving out either, after all.
