Rooms 239/240: Moving Day [After Classes]

Even though Marty was given an invitation to move into Room 239/240 by Jack on Sunday, it wasn't until today that Marty finally found the time to pack up his belongings and start the migration to his new digs down the hall.

Sure... Some people would say he was crazy to give up a single but Marty couldn't resist the opportunity to figure out what those Colorado Refugees were trying to hide from the rest of the school.

Marty picked up his first box and looked over to Camilla.

"C'mon girl. Let's go meet our new roomies."

So together Marty and his pet chicken started the migration down the hallway.

Sam was on her way back to the room from the bathroom when she spotted Marty and Camilla, and the packing box Marty was carrying.

"Morning, Marty. You helping someone move?" With all these new students, it was possible someone was having roommate problems and had requested a relocation.

Marty stopped in front of Room 239/240 and smiled at Sam as he unlocked the door while holding the large box in one arm. "Nope! Moving into my new digs."

"You're moving in here?" Giggling, Sam decided to follow along just to watch the show.

Janet was sleeping quietly in her bed. Her first class wasn't until third period, and she was planning on a quiet morning in the room before she had to go and deal with that bloodsucking reporter Skeeter woman.

Marty unlocked the door to his new room while balancing a box in his arms. When he tried to open the door the box flew out of his hands and crashed into the room sending bits of stuff everywhere and making a loud noise.

Janet bolted upright and leapt out of bed, looking around for the source of the noise. "What the hell?" she asked, crossing her arms and glaring at Marty.

She also didn't remember that she was wearing shorts and a tank top covered with goofy-looking cartoon fishes.

Elizabeth had two coffees in a cup holder when she returned from her run with Cameron (http://www.livejournal.com/users/cameronmitchell/44449.html). "You up yet?" she asked. "It's not too b... what the hell?"

Sam waved to Elizabeth from her spot in the doorway. "Morning! Marty's moving in. With his pet muppet chicken."

Janet started wondering if there was a way to make blue Jell-o taste like red Jell-o. Sam was entirely too cheerful about this.

"Hi, Liz," said Janet, searching through her dresser for anything resembling sane-looking clean clothing and not finding anything. Hence the goofy cartoon fish pajamaas. "Marty's moving in. Apparently. And he's brought his chicken with him. She knits."

Elizabeth's eyes were wide. "Um. Why?" she asked, moving towards Janet and handing her one of the cups.

Camilla clucks happily at Elizabeth while knitting on Janet's bed. Perhaps this new person would like some socks.

Elizabeth eyes the chicken warily.

"Oh! Look Coffee! Thanks Roomie! What a great room-warming gift," Marty says taking a cup.

"Mine!" Elizabeth yelped, grabbing for it.

Marty tries to explain...

"Hold up a second... Really... you guys didn't know I was moving in?" Marty frowns a little.

"Okay... Sunday? Jack asked me to move in with you guys so he wouldn't be the only guy in the room. I'm suprised he didn't tell- Oh wait. No I'm not."

Sam groaned and covered her face with her hands. Maybe the Asgard would make her another copy?

"Jack invited you in?" Elizabeth asked, still on the floor. She looked across at Sam. "I'm sorry. Even knowing your feelings for him, I still think we might have to kill him."

When Aeryn finally wanders into her room...

She takes a step back, checks to see that it's the right room, then says, "Um. I know I don't spend a lot of time here, but something's different."

From the corner of the room, Aeryn would hear some clucking noises from Camilla where she sits on Aeryn's bed happily knitting a scarf.

Janet waved at Aeryn, still clutching the coffee Liz had given her. "Hi. Welcome back. Want to help Liz and I kill Jack?"

Jack finally comes waltzing into the room, completely unaware of what was going on inside.

"Good morning my fellow humanoids! I have come to rescue you from your dreary and unremarkable existence! And I have twinkies!"

Sam facepalmed. "Jack, you might want to run. Now."

"Do you have any idea the unbelieveable levels of dead you are again, Jack O'Neill?" asked Janet.
