Rooms 239/240: Moving Day [After Classes]

Even though Marty was given an invitation to move into Room 239/240 by Jack on Sunday, it wasn't until today that Marty finally found the time to pack up his belongings and start the migration to his new digs down the hall.

Sure... Some people would say he was crazy to give up a single but Marty couldn't resist the opportunity to figure out what those Colorado Refugees were trying to hide from the rest of the school.

Marty picked up his first box and looked over to Camilla.

"C'mon girl. Let's go meet our new roomies."

So together Marty and his pet chicken started the migration down the hallway.

[Open to all to want to help Marty move... and the unsuspecting residents of 239/240 of course]

"Hold up a second... Really... you guys didn't know I was moving in?" Marty frowns a little.

"Okay... Sunday? Jack asked me to move in with you guys so he wouldn't be the only guy in the room. I'm suprised he didn't tell- Oh wait. No I'm not."

Sam groaned and covered her face with her hands. Maybe the Asgard would make her another copy?

Camilla clucked at Sam's expression and gives her a knitted winter hat to cheer her up.

"Okay, you're a nicer chicken than I realized," said Janet. "Sorry about earlier. I was just startled."

Camilla gave Janet a haughty look and turned up her tail feathers at her.

Janet rolled her eyes. "Fine, then, I'm an irredeemably mean person."

She'd never met a chicken before who took an apology with less grace.

"Er, thanks," she said, taking the hat and feeling a little bit better.

"Your boyfriend is a dead man, Sam," said Janet. "If Liz and I don't take care of it, Aeryn's sure to kill him. Or just move into 238 full time."

"Of course Jack didn't tell us," said Janet. "He probably didn't even think about telling us." She sat down on her bed, a pair of jeans and her Oscar the Grouch t-shirt clutched in her hands. She glanced up at Marty. "For all we know, he thought it would be funnier not to tell us. Jack can be an ass like that."

"No, I get it," Sam said, wearing her new knitted winter cap. "I'll stay out of it."

"Good call," said Janet. She giggled at Sam. "Want pictures?"

"Video would be better," Sam decided. "Then we could send it to ~~the shrubbery~~ Barbossa."

Marty turned his back and looked up at the ceiling so Janet could change. "I really didn't know. I thought everyone knew about it."

"Thanks," said Janet, stripping out of her pajamas and throwing on her jeans and t-shirt. "It's okay. I was just surprised. It'll be fun having you living here. I'll get to see Angela outside of the library, maybe."

"Angela? Uh... yeah. Huh." Marty suddenly realizes that he should have told Angela something *before* he moved into a room with three girls.

"I'm thinking we may need to get some privacy curtains set up around here so I don't get a permanent neck injury from staring at the ceiling."

"Jack invited you in?" Elizabeth asked, still on the floor. She looked across at Sam. "I'm sorry. Even knowing your feelings for him, I still think we might have to kill him."

"At the very least, this gives us the right to move all of his possessions out of the room and hide them on him, right?" asked Janet.

"Absolutely. Maybe we should throw some of them in the swimming pool."

"Now that's mean, Elizabeth," Sam laughed. "Can't you just kill him?"

Sam sighed. "No, I get it. There's lots of other guys on campus, right? After a proper mourning period?"

Elizabeth nodded. "Absolutely. We'll find you someone nice, and, well... as normal as they get around here. ~~How about Parker's friend, Jarod?~~"

"Okay, then. If you must." She smiled at Elizabeth, mostly sure the other woman was kidding. ~~Right after you take a class with Daniel.~~"

"He also gave me $20 to call Zordon 'Mr. Tubey'," Marty says because he can't think of anything else to say.

Janet snickered. "He would. How much did he pay you to move in here?"

"Access to some credit card he has in his locker. Sounds to me like Jack should pay for his discretion with some gifts to my new roommates..." Marty says as he heads toward what he assumes is Jack's locker.
