Rooms 239/240: Moving Day [After Classes]

Even though Marty was given an invitation to move into Room 239/240 by Jack on Sunday, it wasn't until today that Marty finally found the time to pack up his belongings and start the migration to his new digs down the hall.

Sure... Some people would say he was crazy to give up a single but Marty couldn't resist the opportunity to figure out what those Colorado Refugees were trying to hide from the rest of the school.

Marty picked up his first box and looked over to Camilla.

"C'mon girl. Let's go meet our new roomies."

So together Marty and his pet chicken started the migration down the hallway.

Carter shot a look at Marty, hoping he hadn't picked up on the real implications of that. "Oh, you mean when he moved out? That was nice of him."

"The first time he moved out, back in Colorado before we came here. He gave it to me. I don't care if he moved back in or not, he left it to me and now it's mine."

Sam closed her eyes and shook her head. "You think maybe it's time to let that go? It's been a long time--they make stereos without turntables now, you know."

"But it's the principal of it."

"Fine. I'm just saying you've got a stereo that's as old as some of the freshmen. Maybe it's time to upgrade--join the 21st century, we're mostly harmless."

"I had another one, it was newer. The General decided to keep it when he shoved me off over here though. Remind me to buy a fighter-plane on his card sometimes soon."

Sam rolled her eyes. "I'll get right on that. But I think that might make him actually show up here, and I don't think you want that."

"Besides, it's not like you could bring it on campus, with the weapons ban and all."

"But we could make it a ride, we could even build an amusement park around it!"

Sam eyed him skeptically. "I'd like to see you get that idea past anyone but the Vice Principal."
