Rooms 239/240: Moving Day [After Classes]

Even though Marty was given an invitation to move into Room 239/240 by Jack on Sunday, it wasn't until today that Marty finally found the time to pack up his belongings and start the migration to his new digs down the hall.

Sure... Some people would say he was crazy to give up a single but Marty couldn't resist the opportunity to figure out what those Colorado Refugees were trying to hide from the rest of the school.

Marty picked up his first box and looked over to Camilla.

"C'mon girl. Let's go meet our new roomies."

So together Marty and his pet chicken started the migration down the hallway.

"It's a big school, Jack. Find another room. I'll let you use my key to the assistants' lounge or something."

"You got a key? I was told to knock and try not to get killed."

"You're an assistant?" Sam tried not to sound quite so incredulous, really she did, but, Jack as a TA? She reflexively began listening for the "unauthorized off-world activation" klaxon to blare. "Whose?"

"CJ's. She made me. She also dragged me to class in my underwear this morning. Not nice."

"She dragged you to class in your underwear? And I missed it? Why???"

"Because I was asleep instead of in class and I guess she knows where I sleep now too."

"There's two ways to stop that from happening, Jack," she winked.

"Don't sleep here and wake up on time?"

"Yep."

"Eh, it's an idea."

"Or maybe you're an exhibitionist and like being in class in your underwear," she shrugged, "but those seem to be the choices."

"No, not much for the whole... demi-flashing thing. There were only like three or four people in class yesterday though."

"So that makes it okay?" Sam's eyes widened.

"It makes it more okay than being dragged into a class as big as like, Advanced Crim."

"See, I make sense sometimes."

Sam rolled her eyes, then grinned at him. "God, you're obnoxious, Jack."

"And you succeed." Sam checked her watch. "I gotta get to U.S. Government. Catch up with you later?"

"Cool, I'll be here tonight probably. Later."

She kissed him quickly, then waved to Janet, Aeryn, Marty, Camilla, and Elizabeth, leaving Jack to his own devices.

"Bye." She went back to her own room, extremely thankful she had it.
