2nd floor common room, morning/brunch time

Cameron returns from a run into town with a couple of bags. He's got muffins from Jeff the God of Biscuits, the NPC bakery, and ingredients for his omelettes and the pancakes Marty is going to make. Hopefully either Marty or Rory show up soon because Cam's really not too good at making coffee. With the invitation folder helmet on, he is however capable of making a damn wicked omelette.


((Yes, this is adressed to the 2nd floor but anyone who wanders by will get breakfast. So feel free to drop in.))

"I do?" Cameron shrugs, trying to look relaxed and failing miserably. "No, must be an idea. Let me go get you something." He quickly moves back to the stove.

She's calling him names in her head at the moment. She busies herself with creating new ones while she waits for him to come back.

It takes a while, so she might come up with quite a number of names. When he returns, it's with a small tray with several plates stacked with about every sort of omelette combination he could think of, a stack of pancakes, every flavour of muffins he bought and some toast. "Uh, wasn't sure what you wanted..."

Aeryn manages not to shake her head or laugh or sigh at him. "Thanks. You could have asked," she says, reaching for a plate. "Save yourself a lot of trouble."

There might be a very small bounce and a grin, but all in moderation. "No trouble. I'm the breakfast man today. Comes with free, nervous rambling on top."

She takes a bite of the omelet. "Not bad," she tells him. "And I've noticed you're very good at the nervous rambling."

"Thanks," he says, and it might be a bit unclear if it's to the compliment or the rambling. "I get a lot of practise." And he might be avoiding bringing something up.

"It shows." It's also unclear which one she's talking about.

"So," Cameron takes a deep breath. "When are you going to beat me up?"

"When are you planning on being in the gym next?"

Cameron swallows and just when he was starting to relax a little. "I was thinking of maybe stopping by in the evening after work..."

"Maybe then," she says with a nod.

"Thanks for the warning," Cameron frowns as he really has no clue what he's supposed to say or do now.

"Not a problem," she tells him. "Good food."

"Thanks," Cameron replies, and then because he simply doesn't know better he gives in and sits down so he can face her but not be too close either. "Are you mad at me?"

"Yesterday, yes. Today, mildly annoyed," Aeryn answers. "What is everyone's obsession with what John and I do, or don't do?"

"It's not an obsession!" Cameron says quickly and then has no clue what it actually is. "We were just... We wanted to help."

"That's nice of you," she says, and she might actually be honest about that part. "Especially seeing as how you and Angel are authorities on the subject."

Cameron blushes and ducks his head, staring down at his clasped hands. "I'm not. Angel is, he's got heaps of experience. That's what the books were for..." He really wishes the couch would swallow him up now.

"Angel who believed the dren about recreating being the same thing as perfect happiness?"

"He did?" Cameron blinked.

"Must have been very good sex?" Cameron tries, not sounding very convinced. He sighs and rubs the back of his neck. "It was just supposed to be a guy to guy talk, you know? Just some tips and... you weren't supposed to walk in."

"Fair enough," she says. "But would you want someone coming to you with books and drawings saying you weren't doing something right?"

Cameron groans and buries his face in his hands for a moment. "No, I suppose not. Just, we wanted to do this right and... those books really are interesting. I got some for myself and they have some nice hints in it and... Can I die now?"
