Second floor common room, Sunday evening

After work, Jaye turns the common room into Campaign and Anti-Campaign Headquarters.

There are several posters hanging on the walls. All over the walls.

On the table are two stacks of flyers. Lots of them. Many trees died for this cause. It's a theme with her this week. And really, it shouldn't be this hard to slander Marty. It just shouldn't.

John starts to laugh a little. Then a lot. Then a whole lot.

"I'm not laughing at you, Angela. Laughing at the thought of *that* rumor getting around the school. The new students would be scarred."

It takes Angela a second, but eventually she starts to laugh, too. It's just hard not to when John is practically doubled over.

"I just hope nobody sweriously believes it," she finally says. "That's too yucky. I mean, maybe it would be funny if it was somebody else's boyfriend, but-" she shrugs. "Not."

"I agree. It's yucky," John says, still laughing. "You think Marty's gonna be upset with the flyer? It's not that bad. Marty's got a good sense of humor."

"He'll think it's funny, yeah," she concedes. "I'm just worried --" a cloud briefly crosses her face. "I don't want him to think I, like, trash him behind his back all the time, or anything. You know? Because I so, so don't."

"I know you don't," John assures her. "We could...deface Jaye's flyers and scratch out what you said and write something else?" John suggests helpfully.

Angela waves a hand through the air. "Nah. It should be fine, I just need to tell him before he sees them."

"Distract me. What did I miss while I was home? I've been gone since Friday morning. Anything happen with the gremlin petition?"

"Hmmm. Oh, Blair had a sit in!" John says cheerfully. "I had to go to Dean Zordon's office on Friday and Blair was holding a sit in for Gremlin's Rights!"

"Right on, Blair," Angela grins. "I thought he'd be into it. Did thety massacre the gremlins anyhow, or did it work?"

"You know, I'm not sure what happened with the gremlins. I didn't see Blair after my visit to the dean's so I didn't get to ask." John frowns. "They were gonna massacre them?"

"Exterminate them, whatever. That's what the petition was about? The one you signed?"

"It's so unfair, if they did it. I should call Blair and see if we did any good." She twists a piece of hair. "Anything else I missed? How are you doing?"

"Oh, I know about the massacre," John says. "I just didn't think they'd really do it. Poor guys. Me? Fine. Yesterday was weird but everything's fine now."

"Weird how? Did somebody get turned into an animal, or anything?"

"Oh no, not like that," John explains. "Weird for me personally. No animals, thank goodness."

"That's something. I guess that trend is over, thank god."

She shoots John a concerned look. "Am I being way nosy, or do you wanna talk about how it was weird for you? Aeryn's okay, right?"

"Oh, everything's fine now," John says. "It's more funny then anything. There were drawings and books. So, funny. Ha ha."

Angela raises her eyebrows. "Okay," she says hesitantly. "Sorry. Or whatever."

"It's nothing," John says, laughing. "Honestly. How was your trip home?"

Angela shrugs. "Fine. My mom gave me some cute sweaters. I saw some old friends." There's more, but it has to wait until she can talk to Marty.

"Sweaters are always good," John says. "I can't think of anything else you missed. It's been a slow weekend."

"That's the best kind to go home on, then."

"Agreed!" John smiles. "How're classes going so far?"

"The ones I had seemed decent. I might need to drop one, though. I added a government class, and then I was looking at my syllabused at home, and six is going to be way too many." She rubs her forehead. "Which reminds me, I think Professor Logan said to talk to you about the music class I missed on Friday."

"Music on Friday? Oh, yeah." John nods. "Nothing too serious yet. We discussed what music of the multiverse meant to us and how we define. And we ate twinkies."
