Moving Day: Tuesday after class: West Attic to 403

Lana took the time to clean Room 403 thoroughly before she headed up to the West Attic to start moving her things. She'd picked up some stuff from the Emporium to make the room seem a little more *hers*, so she made the bed and put up the prints she'd picked up after the room was clean. She figured that way, no matter how tired she was after moving everything, at least her bed would already be made so she wouldn't have to worry about it.

She admired the view from her window for a moment, then sighed and started the trek up to the West Attic to collect all of her things. Hopefully, Shep and Han would be along to help out and it was always possible that others might lend a hand to when they saw her moving.

Han got the voicemail and presented himself in the hall. "I don't figure I can get into too much trouble just carrying stuff," Han says. "Load me up."

"Wonderful," Lana said. She handed him her two suitcases stuffed full with clothes and such. "Room 403, please. I'll be right behind you. And thanks so much!"

Maia was walking down the hallway bored out of her mind, tuesdays were her slow class days. "Hey Lana. Need help?" She said seeing Lana apparently moving.

Lana smiled. "Absolutely! I can use all the help I can get!" Grab any of the stuff that's out over there and haul it on down to room 403."

Maia nodded and grabbed a bunch of clothes and carefully folded them over her arm so as not to wrinkle them. "So you'll be closer to Shep. Thats nice."

Finally Paige came to the attic and saw Lana and the other's with her stuff.

"I'm missing something right?" she asked

Lana laughs. "Right across the hall. And yes, it will be nice. Very nice." She scoops up some more clothes to bring with her.

"Hey, Paige," Lana said a little uncomfortably. "I put in for a single down on the fourth floor and just got approved this morning."

Han carries them down the steps carefully and, in 403, sets them down easily.

She looked a little confused, but she could probably work out why, living with her Sawyer probably wasn't that fun whether they were happy or not.

"Oh right okay, well erm congratuations, guess I should offer a hand then right?"

"Well thats good then." Maia frowned a little feeling guilty that Lana was moving. "Lana I'm sorry." Maia said quickly.

Lana puts down her own stuff and hugs Han. "Sorry, should have done this before."

She smiles at him. "Thanks so much for helping me, I didn't realize how much stuff I had."

"I'm sorry," Lana says. "I probably should have said something earlier, but I wanted to wait to hear whether my change was approved. And then they wanted me to come swap out keys today, so..."

She smiles. "And yeah, I'd love some help if you have the time. And please don't be a stranger, come visit!"

Lana looked at her curiously. "For what?"

Maia shifted nervously with the clothes and shrugged "I- well cos you have to move." She whispered. "Because Paige and Sawyer are fighting and well if it hadn't- well I'm just sorry."

"Maia..." Lana rolled her eyes. "I'm a big girl. I make these kinds of decisions for myself. Yes, I wasn't comfortable staying here with Sawyer, but that's my issue. Just after everything that went on... well, he made me nervous. I stayed with Shep for a while while Paige tried to figure out what she wanted to do, but I couldn't stay there forever. So... I'm moving."

Paige shrugged, "hey no biggie it's fine I've not really been about much anyway, what with my self-defense lessons and stuff."

She picked one of the bags on the floor, "yeah sure I'd like that, I should a little spare time, I think I kinda went insane last week and ended up working in the clinic, for Geoff and having self-defense twice a week!"

Han hugs her back. "Not a problem, doll. Got anything else?"

Maia nodded feeling a little bit more cheered that Lana was not blaming her or hating her. "Yeah." She said grasping a pair of stylish boots with her fingers and carrying them along as well. "so... is Shep gonna stay in his room all the way across the hall?" Maia's voice taking on her old teasing tone for a second and sounding like her old self.

"Wow! Busy girl! You'll definitely have to find time to come visit. We can do a girl's night in kind of thing!"

"Tons." Lana rolls her eyes. "How did I accumulate so much stuff? But actually if you could move my TV/VCR player down that would be a really big help. The rest of the stuff is pretty light."

Lana blushed. "I can almost guarantee he'll be visiting from time to time," she said lightly. "As grateful as I'll be to have my own room and a little personal space, I'll really miss waking up next to him."

"Yeah that'd be fun, I'm sure I could find time for that, definitely," she says

"So we're going down to the fourth floor right?"

"Yeah, Room 403. Right across from Shep and Han," Lana said, blushing a little.

Maia looked dreamily for a moment lost in thought "Yeah it is nice."
