2nd Floor Hallway [Wednesday Evening]

After Bridge succeeds in dragging Sam out of her room, the two of them are in the second-floor hallway, preparing to set off on an exploration mission. If anyone else were similarily inclined, they'd be welcome to join the party.

[ooc: locked to a group of intrepid adventurers (Bridge, Sam, Rory, John, Lee, Molly and Hamlet).]

Rory peered over Bridge's shoulder.

"Dude. Is it just me, or is the sky...totally on the floor?"

Molly peered around Rory. "That is so cool!"

*Hamlet peers in around Molly and Rory and Bridge.*

So that would be what a hypercube is. Interesting. I wonder why the need for the warning signs then?

"Maybe not all of them are harmless? Pull me back if I fall, please." Bridge says, before stepping out on to a cloud. He doesn't fall. Bouncing experimentally, he grins. "It's kinda springy!"

Rory followed suit, bouncing slightly.

She did fall though. Right onto her side.

Because she's a dork.

"Soft, too!" she giggled.

Molly jumped through the doorway and landed on a cloud. "Woo hoo!"

*Hamlet hesitates a few moments before stepping out as well. The clouds are surprisingly springy. If he wasn't so emo, he might really enjoy this. He just hopes that the world doesn't suddenly right itself.*

After trying to stand up, Rory just decided to lie back on a cloud.

She stared at the ceiling.

"Hey, I think I can see the school!"

Bridge looks up. "Oh yeah, hey! It's so teeny! I wonder if there are, like, upside-down versions of us in there? Maybe the upside-down-uses are in *their* hypercube rooms, looking down at right-side-up school. Except to them it'd be upside-down."

Molly stopped bouncing on her cloud and stared open mouthed at the ceiling. "That would be cool. Do you think if anybody in the school looked up, they'd see us?"

"We should find out," Rory replied, pulling her cell phone from her pocket and hitting 3 on her speed dial.

Anakin, ~~sulking~~ studying in his room, picked up the phone on the first ring. "Hello?"

"Hi, it's Rory. Go look outside for a second for me? Um, at the sky. If you can."

"Okay..." Anakin said slowly. He stood up from the desk and popped his head out the window.

Damn, January was cold on this planet. "All right, I'm looking at the sky. I'm not going to get hit with anything, am I?"

"Can you see us?" Bridge leans over in Rory's direction and shouts into the phone.

"That was Bridgey Carson," Rory explained. "What he means is, can you see four probably kind of small shapes on a cloud? Shapes that might look like, say, me, Bridgey, Hamlet and Molly Hayes?"

There was a moment of silence from Anakin's side of the phone.

"Seriously?"

Molly jumped up and down on her cloud and waved up... down... up at the school.

*Hamlet sprawled back on the cloud. On the one hand, this was kind of surreal. On the other, it was kind of stupid to be chilling on a cloud. He stared up at the ground at tried to puzzle out the logistics of the whole thing. He wondered if Anakin would be able to see them, or if they were in a different universe all together.*

"Yes, seriously. We're on clouds. We can see the school, though I can't see you, since you're probably way too small. But we ought to stand out just 'cause of color. I'm wearing blue, Molly's in pink, Hamlet's in black - shock, I know - and Bridgey's in gray and black. Molly and I should at least stand out noticably, if you can see us," Rory said into the phone.

She waved at the school nonsensically.

"You're messing with me, aren't you?" Anakin asked.

But he was looking pretty closely at the clouds. "Um, maybe?" he said, squinting. "If you're sneaking down the hallway or something, I'm going to be cranky."

"No, I am not messing with you." Rory pulled up a handful of the cloud, and stuck it in her pocket. "Okay, I'm bringing you back some of the cloud, non-believer."

She waved some more. "We're totally moving around and stuff. Maybe you can't see us because we're in another dimension or something."

"Dude, totally a good idea!" Bridge says, pocketing some cloud of his own.

Rory smiled. "He totally doesn't believe us," she whispered, holding the phone away from her mouth. "I figure this is a good way to ensure that people don't think we're crazy."

Sometimes, it really is better to let people think you are crazy. It brings less suspicions to your actions then. And who exactly are you asking to see us on that phone?

*He grabs a handful of clouds and stuffs it in his pocket. He's totally not thinking of keeping it to put over his head while he's brooding, à la Eeyore.*
