Self-Defense - Wednesday evening, Gym

Students entering the gym in the evening are greeted with the sight of a black cat bouncing up and down on a window-sill. The gym is set up the way it always is: matts on the floor, a table with food and Alanna.

"Okay, today? We will be working on kicking. If you're being attacked, I don't recommend it unless you feel like you have enough experience to be quick about it. If you are going to kick, "kick" with your knee. If your attacker is male, aim low. If you're being kicked, try to grab and stop the foot, usually by grabbing on. If you get it right, the person should fall over, or at least loose their balance." She clapped her hands. "Pair up, practice kicking, usual rules apply. I'll be perched by the cookies and lemonade."

Nadia was rolling again. And managed to roll right under Pippi accidentally. "Woah!"

Then she started laughing. "Let's try that again."

Pippi rolled off Nadia and got up.

~~"Why to you always end up under me?"~~

"Yes, once more." she said, "With feeling."

And went for another stomp.

~~"What can I say? I like it on bottom,"~~

Nadia went with her strengths. And rolled. Straight into Pippi's supporting leg.

Okay, so they were supposed to be working on kicks, but, hey, this was self-defence, right?

~~"Damnit, I never get to be the bottom! It's not fair!"~~

Pippi started to fall, but she was in the process of stomping with the other foot and managed to catch her balance with that one.

She twisted around to face Nadia and put her other foot down, scooting back. Bouncing on the balls of her feet.

"Would you like to play every pirate's favorite game?" she asked.

~~"Ooh, baby, for you, I'll top"~~

Nadia frowned at her from the ground, then cautiously adjusted into a crouch. "What game would that be?"

She tried to make sure she was ready to move in any direction, depending on what the pirate girl would do.

~~"Promises promises."~~

"Punchy Face-y." said Pippi, and her fist shot out from the left at Nadia's jaw.

Nadia leaned back and landed on her butt. Yeah, she'd been afraid of that. . . .

"Kicks, Pippi!" She was laughing even as she rocked sideways and back into her crouch. "We're supposed to be working on kicks!"

"Kicky face-y?" she said.... "Okay."

Up came the foot.

Nadia was going to have to learn to keep her mouth shut. She rolled to her hands and knees and launched a one legged donkey kick, back at Pippi's kicking foot.

Yeah, so Pippi would probably win. But she would probably manage to confuse the heck out of her.

Pippi's foot was kicked away and she spun around... When presented with Nadia on her hands and knees ~~like the sub she is~~ and the options of kicking her in the stomach or booting her in the ass...

Well, which would you choose?

If Nadia didn't get a move on, she may have difficulty sitting though class.

~~"oh please, mistress, please!"~~

Instead of dropping and rolling, Nadia lunged forward and to the side of Pippi, ducking around behind her to drop into a defensive pose. She watched carefully to see what the crazy pirate girl would do next.

~~"WHO'S A NAUGHTY GIRL THEN!?"~~

Pippi spun around again for a round house kick at Nadia's head.

Nadia caught Pippi's foot. It kinda made her feel like her fingers were going to fall off.

~~" . . . Walter! Walter is! Wait, no . . . ."~~

"Let's see... Somebody's got your foot and you're supposed to do what again? ... Oh yeah!"

Pippi hopped up and brought her free foot up at Nadia's head while attempting to wrench her other leg out of the grip. Turning in the air as she fell.

Nadia let go and jogged back a several feet, watching Pippi spin and shaking out her hands.

She tilted her head, looking forward to seeing what Pippi had been planning to do.

Pippi slapped her hands on the ground to break her fall, it looked like she was about to do pushups. Then she brought her feet up between her hands in a crouch and stood up.

Turning, she put up her dukes.

"More? Or are we done?"

Nadia was breathing slightly hard, but she wasn't too tired yet. "I think you still have some kicks to get in."

"I don't know about this 'kicking' think Nadia..." she said scooting forward.

"I'm more a 'punchy, stabby, throwy, shooty' kind of girl."

She shot a front kick at Nadia's midriff like she'd seen Nadia do at the start of their fight.

Nadia doesn't so much as catch Pippi's foot as push it aside. "That's why you have to work on it. I'm pretty much a kickboxer. I could probably use some work on the punching."

As her kick is pushed away, Pippi turns it into another round house kick.

Nadia drops to the floor and bounces back up when the kick clears.

As Nadia rises, Pippi's foot stops and snaps out at Nadia's chest.

This one catches Nadia, and she spins with the momentum, bringing her leg up for a shot back at Pippi's hip. "You're getting better."

Pippi grabs at the leg heading toward her hip.

"I'm a fast study, and have a very good teacher." is her retort.

Nadia supports herself with both arms as she launches her other leg out for a scissor kick. It's not her strongest move in the world, but she feels like she just has to try it.

"Thanks. You'll have to teach me that flipping to your feet thing you do."
