Second floor common room, anytime your little heart desires *nods*

The handwavey delivery service has stopped by.

The walls were already painted a nice color that shouldn't offend the males. Thanks to Zero there's some nice tan berber carpet on the floor. There are a few new sofas in the room now, along with some cushy armchairs that totally go with the room. There are coffee tables and a clock on the wall and huge pillows to match the walls. And let's not forget the TV Marty donated. Which will probably be all that anyone looks at.

Decorations can wait until next week. Welcome to your new common room, boys and girls. Second floor RULES.


[OOC: Yes, I did pick out fabrics for stuff. For instance, you've got a reddish color for your pillows, not zebra striped. Because Quinn wouldn't let you do that.]

Cameron grinned, winked at Vala and wiped the cream off. "Careful," he chided softly at her laughing and moved closer.

Isabel laughed, glad they were happy. And she was only a little bit jealous.

"Can I ask a question? If it's not too upsetting?" she asked. "How did you know what to do? You and Janet both. It happened so fast, I feel like I just stood there and watched."

Vala frowned. "I don't know. I mean I've had some practice in taking care of myself in a fight, but usually it's just long enough to get away." She looks over at Cam. "I think my boyscout of a boyfriend is rubbing off on me."

She sighed, "Besides, as you can see, I didn't do all that well after all."

"You still did better then me," Isabel said quietly. "I keep thinking there was something I could have done." But there was no way to explain what she thought she could have done without explaining what she was. And despite what Lorne had to say, she wasn't ready to do that yet.

"Maybe I need to start going to Self Defense Club."

"No," Vala frowned. "There wasn't anything you could have done, except maybe end up hurt like us or worse.

"Don't beat yourself up over it. I'm just glad you got out o.k. That we all did."

"You all did what you could do," Cameron piped up as he played with the can. "Self Defense isn't a bad idea in this place, though. I started picking it up too, I suck but I can show you some basics if you want."

He accidently sat the can off and squirted cream on his shirt. "Damn," he tried to clean it off.

"I still feel like I didn't do anything. Well except call for back-up. And what back-up," she said with a smile. "Parker came in like hell on a pair of Jimmy Choos."

She almost reached out to clean his shirt but then stopped herself when sheh realized that would lead to questions. "That would be great, Cam. I'd appreciate it."

"You were there to call for back up, that's something to." Cameron pointed out, but he was rubbing at his shirt instead of looking at either of them. "Like Vala said, everyoen got out. That's what matters."

"Yeah, let's hear it for teamwork!" Vala smile fades a bit. "Although the fact that it took five of us, two well-armed, and two of us got hurt anyway...." She shuddered. "I can promise I'm not going out in town again any time soon."

"I don't think anyone will with this snow. It's really starting to come down."

Shifting a bit on her seat, Isabel took another sip of hot chocolate. "Actually it seems like town is under control again. There's some sort of military force in charge now."

"I guess. Especially if they can get Darla and the other one under control. But the military? Isn't that weird for such a small town?"

With all the hell they went through with the FBI last Spring, Isabel had no desire to run into the army next. Keeping to the dorms was probably a good idea at least until she got a sense of what they were up to.

"Yeah, normally we have the police step in." Cameron frowned. "If they can't live up to the job, it's normal to get the military, though. Just until things have cooled down again and the cops can take back over."

"Hopefully that'll be soon. It just doesn't seem right." She shrugged, "But if they can get things under control..."

"No, but Professor Car Autolycus stopped by the clinic earlier today to visit." She smiled. "He was sweet."

She didn't mention the present (http://www.lockpicks.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=27) he'd given her.

Her hot chocolate finished, Isabel got to her feet. "I'm going to head upstairs. You should go to bed and get a good night's sleep."
