2nd Floor Common Room [Friday Afternoon/Night]

After the emergency power kicks in, Bridge wanders in to the 2nd floor common room, carrying a white bedsheet and a stack of DVDs, RIC trundling along behind him.

After hanging the sheet from one of the walls, he calls Rory and asks her to bring her laptop. He could have just used his, but hey, this way they can watch movies *and* eat waffles.

After some consideration, he goes back to his room and drags out all the extra blankets and plops them on a couch.

More than a little creeped out by the whole power situation, Anders snags all his spare blankets and heads into the common room from next door in 201 to find Bridge there.

"Hey, dude. What's goin' on in here?"

"Movies!" Bridge grins and bounces. "Or there will be, once Rory brings her laptop, 'cause RIC can't play DVDs yet. But he's got a projector!" he points to the wall with the sheet.

Angela waves. "Hey, Anders. I can't believe it gets this rotten out in Virginia."

A few minutes later, Rory walked in carrying her laptop, her entire DVD collection, and an armful of baking supplies. And syrup, of course.

Over her shoulder was a hot pink bag with a very fluffy, small head sticking out.

"Hey, Bridgey," Rory said, setting her things down before rushing back to her room and returning with all her bedding. "Are we having, like, a slumber party?"

"Yes!" Bridge smiles. "Because it is cold and snowy so we should all hang out and be warm and watch movies and stuff!"

Anakin walked in after his banthabell demonstration in music class and after doing a quick check to see who was in the room, smiled at Rory.

He walked over to her, leaned down and said, "I have to go talk to Angel for a bit. Save me a seat?"

Marty waves at Rory. "Hey Stranger. How've you been? I never see you anywhere except outside of class."

ANgela waves. "hey, Rory. Hey, Vladdiekins."

"All right! Movie Time!" Marty flops down on the couch.

"What are we watching first?"

"No idea..." Bridge says, rifling through his DVDs. "I've got, um, first season of Abaranger. And Ocean Alert. And that Star-Crossed Lovers movie- original, not the remake. I think Rory's got some stuff, and maybe Xander too."

Xander walked in shortly after Rory (because was there ever anybody in the 4th floor common room?), carrying his laptop - and a rather large canvas shopping bag full of leftover cafeteria food.

"Thought since we're running un generators, I should probably just unplug the fridge and share the wealth," he said, unpacking the bag onto one of the tables and spreading out snickerdoodles, gingersnaps, and gladware full of meatloaf, steak and kidney pie, and steamed rice with stir-fried veggies.

And a gleaming pile of ubiquitous twinkies. Though he didn't think the word ubiquitous.

"Oh, sweet!" Bridge grins. "Yay for snacks!"

"Harris, you're a lifesaver, man," says Anders. "I am flat out of baked goods today, especially since me and Cally used my last two pies to, um, start a pie fight the other night."

He might very well get lynched for that revelation under the circumstances.

Marty immediately grabs a twinkie. "Xander! You rock like a thing that rocks so much!"

Parker wandered by with Esme in the carryall thing that Callynanders had given her for Christmas. "Oo, snickerdoodles."

Callisto wandered in after Music finished, carrying a bag under her arm.

She pulled out a pocket knife and a length of wood and started whittling.

Anakin, sitting next to Rory in a totally overprotective way, caught her eye and gave Callisto a grim smile and a wave.

Jaye's wearing lots of clothes. She's under here somewhere, really. She needs no blanket.

She plops onto one of the new sofas and tries to see if she can see her breath.

"Officer Lion-Girl!" Bridge says. "Hi!"

Angela comes into the common room wrapped up in a huge sweater and sweatpants and armed with a flashlight.

"I hate this weather," she announces to no one in particular.

"Angela!" Bridge waves her over to a free spot on one of the couches. "We have lots of extra blankets! Bundle up!"

Sam showed up late in the common room, wearing a wool sweater, turtleneck, and tights under her jeans. She was also wearing mittens and a scarf.

"Hey guys! What're we watching?"

Angela waves from her nest of blankets. "Hey! I'm not sure, actually. I just got here."

Nadia, having decided that there were probably more than enough people in the gym helping out the townsfolk, wandered around the rest of the dorm, putting up her posters now with the correct link! as she went.

Including, after some hesitation, the second floor lounge.

Sam waved to Nadia from her spot on the floor. "Hey Nadia! Come in, be social."

Zero came in, wrapped in a blanket and carrying a covered birdcage.

"ARE YOU MY MUMMY?"

"Shut up, Fish. Sorry, guys, couldn't leave him in my room. S'cold in there." She holds up a package. "Da sent chocolate chip cookies?"

Angela pokes her head out of the blankets. "Oooh. Cookies. Please?"

She points at the cage. "Is that Fish? I haven't met him. her. It."

Cold, irritated and unable to find Kara, Lee goes to the common room wrapped in a two blankets.

Tired of listening to the wind rattle her windows up on the 5th floor, Molly heads down to the second floor common room because that is usually where the most stuff is going on which does NOT mean it is the best floor, just the most populated.

She is wrapped in a big pink blanket and is carrying her old stuffed Doop (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doop_%28comics%29) doll.

Peter wandered into the common room pretty late because it was cold and he had donated his mattress. This made for an uncomfortable room. Therefore, he was counting on his nice, heavy sweater and the natural heating generated by throwing a bunch of people into one room. Yes, he felt very nerdy because he thought about that.

*Hamlet wanders into the 2nd floor common room, because that always seems to be where the action is. He's experienced weather like this before one the times he's visited Norway (most boringest country ever), so he plops down on the new couch and starts drawing up plans for an elaborate snow fort of some kind. So that he can finally say that he's king of something.*
