2nd floor common room, Saturday morning

After talking to Vala yesterday, Isabel had gone up to her room and settled down with a trashy romance novel. She fell asleep and slept straight the night.

She woke early Saturday morning with a craving for pancakes. There were people sleeping in the fourth floor common room, so dressed in jeans and a heavy sweater she went down the stairs to the 2nd floor common room. There might have been people sleeping but if so, they were all hidden under the mounds of blankets around the room.

Because of that she tried to be quiet as she moved around the kitchen, turning on the coffee pot and mixing up a batch of pancake mix.

Aeryn nods. She can deal with all of those names assuming none are missing. "I'd heard Angela mentioned and that worried me a bit."

"I told her to stay home," Angel said. "Her and Rory. We don't need people volunteering to add to the body count."

"Yes," Aeryn nods. "I might have locked Rory in a closet if I'd known she volunteered. There's a bit of a theme with her, I think."

"People need to get that this is serious," Angel said. "I nearly got killed going after Dru. She and Darla are deadly, experienced, and now they've got friends. Anybody who comes has to be able to help or stay the hell home."

Aeryn frowns. "Friends?"

"Minions," Angel said. "Vampires. I dusted as many as I could the other day but some might've run off. Plus Dru and Darla could've found or made more."

Okay, she really hopes John doesn't find out about that part. "How many were there, do you think?" she asks.

"Twenty? More?" Angel shrugged. "I didn't stop to take a census."

"That changes the odds some," she says. "We might want to find a time to get everyone together, make sure we all have the same information."

"If nothing else might not be a bad idea to organize who's doing what," Angel agreed. "Anakin's right. We've never fought together before. Could just as easily kill ourselves with friendly fire."

"Does zombie weekend count?" she asks. "But you're right. I've heard what people can do but not from them and going in confused will only get people killed."

"How about my room?" Angel suggested. "Round up the gang, have a meeting, see what's what."

"Sounds good. I don't think it looks like anyone will be going out this weekend, so we'll have time to get everyone."
