{It's not Xander's Common Room, but why break with today's tradition?}

Xander was halfway through his second cup of coffee, and Isabel had already wandered back upstairs to the 4th floor, when the loudspeakers fizzed and sputtered, and an announcement filled the room, in an unfamiliar-to-him female voice.

He put down his coffee and chewed the last bite of pancake, before shaking his head. "Snow monsters. Great. I should've stayed a zombie."

"Yeah, we're not burning books," Rory replied from across the room. "Um, I have some newspapers and stuff in my room. Actually, we have back issues all over the place in the journalism classroom. We could burn the random bundles we've got in there. And trash, definitely."
