VICTORY PARTY! - Second Floor Common Room

The monsters are defeated, and Rory and Parker have been sprung from the clinic.

Both girls made brief stops in their rooms for candy, snack food and drinks, and piled everything on the counter of the common room kitchen.

The TV's on, sound muted, and the stero's blaring "We Are the Champions."

Come celebrate kicking their cold, white asses, people.

Angela gawks. Just a little. Then she shuts her mouth.

"This is going to sound stupid, but ... is that a giraffe? LIke, a bitty one?"

"Dude!" Bridge grins at Angela. "This is Earl! He's a minature giraffe."

Earl inclines his head politely at Angela in greeting.

Angela waves to Bridge, then to Earl.

"Hi," she says to both of them, then turns to Bridge. "Did he come with the snow monsters or something?"

"Nah," Bridge says. "Me and Callisto and Hamlet and Kawalsky found him wandering around in the woods last semester. He's been living with Professor Ted ever since."

"I had no idea about that. It is so cool," Angela says, impressed.

"Does Earl talk or anything? And are there any more like hm in the woods, do you think?"

"Well, he blinks," Bridge offers. "Which is sort of his way of talking. He manages to make himself understood. And that is a very good question. I tried asking him if he was the only one once, and he didn't even blink at me or nod his head or anything. We should totally mount an expedition into the woods to find out."

"I would love to be in on it if you go," Angela muses, kneeling to take a closer look at the giraffe. "He's cute, but he deserves a girlfriend, or whatever."
