Third floor common room, Sunday after 11:00am

Walter came in with an electric blanket, a heating pad, a teapot, tea, and schoolbooks stacked in his arms. Pup trotted closely at his heels while he set up the blanket on the couch, plugged in the heating pad for the clingy hellpuppy, and put on hot water for tea.

It was a good day to get some studying done, watch mindless TV, drink hot tea, and generally be happy to not have been killed by animated snow the day before.

Victor soon followed, setting himself on a couch with a blanket and a pillow. he was going to bring one of the books he had gotten from Azriphale's bookstore, but decided against it. It was too soon to be worrying about that. Instead, he brought his laptop and played a game of solitare.

Walter set a cup of tea next on the table in front of Victor and looked over his shoulder at the cards.

"The eight of hearts..."

"Thanks, hon," Victor said. kissing Walter on the cheek before returning to the game. Then he saw Pip and waved a little.

Pip walked by, his arm in a sling. He stopped and sniffed the air. "I smell tea," he said, stepping into the Common Room.

"That you do." Walter waved from the stove. "Join us and I'll pour you a cup." He noticed the sling, but didn't feel much like talking about his own injury, so left questions unspoken.

"Thanks, Pip said, pulling a cigarette pack from his pocket and pulling one out with his teeth. "Think you could help me?"

Walter grabbed the cigarette and situated it better for Pip before patting in his pocket and cursing. "Pippi still has my lighter. Where's yours?"

"Right here," Pip said, taking it out and handing it to Walter. "That tutor of yours is something else."

"Oh? You met Alfred, did you?" Walter lit his cigarette and tucked the lighter in Pip's shirt pocket.

Victor waved at Pip. "Where have you been?"

"Defending some back exit with Alfred," Pip said. "Messed my arm a little for my trouble. Alfred thinks it'll be healed up in a week."

"Yeah, I screwed up my shoulder, too. Looks like we're stuck inside for a while."

"Well," Pip said, glancing out the window. "It's not like the weathers fantastic or anything."

"Come, sit by me," Victor said, carefully sitting up in one of the corners of the couch and facing the other corner, where he expected Pip to sit. "Tell me what's new."

"Hey, I told Pippi I'd go play outside with her for a few minutes. She needed some cheering up. I'll be back soon. Just yell out the window if you need me."

"Come here," Victor asked, lifting the blanket and motioning for Walter to sit between his legs.

Pippi comes flowncing down the stairs dressed to go outside.

"Heeeeeeey. What gives Walter? I thought we were gonna go have a victory dance!"

"Hey!" Walter looked up guiltily from his tea. "Yeah, we were, weren't we? Right. I can duck out as host in here for the snow angels I promised."

Pip held up his sling. "Sorry, Me-pi. Some of us are a little too knocked around to do anything as exciting as dancing."

"It's just symbolic Pip... You don't have to actually dance! ... You could make snow angels..." She glances at his arm.

"One winged snow angels, but hey so what?" She doesn't say that a one-eyed guy making one-winged snow angels is ironic... But she thinks it.

Pip laughed and not because his canon love interest is a one armed, one-winged vampire or anything like that. "Well, I'm up for the dance, but not in ths weather. Point me to somewhere where we can dance in the nice heated warmth, and I'll be glad to join you. Albiet very gently."

After the ice castle

Walter returned from dancing on the bones of his enemies (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhighdorms/436139.html?view=19051435#t19051435), cold and with his wrist aching the bone deep ache of the broken bone maltreated.

He put on a fresh pot of water for tea and crawled under his electric blanket to try to feel his fingers again.
