2nd floor common room, evening

It's probably an act of desperation that Cameron is sitting in the common watching the Super Bowl. It is kinda nice with the surround system, but it's still football which really doesn't compare to basketball. Still, he's got popcorn and chips and he's feeling kinda fuzzy.

Angela waved. "Hi, Parker. Pretty lame ads so far from what I've seen. And Pittsburgh is behind, dammit."

"Well that sucks." Parker checked the time. "Still, only second quarter. Plenty of time. I forgot, this is your home team, isn't it?" Parker shook her head. "Once the Patriots were out, I was only in it for the amusement factor." She smirked at the celebrating monkeys. "I think one of those guys works in our corporate office."

"And Logan says the money's on Pittsburgh," Angela says. "So I'm not giving up hope."

Her attention is diverted by the TV screen. "My god, Tom Cruise REALLY wants us to think he's straight, huh?"

"If dating La Holmes wouldn't do it, he really needs to just give up." Parker rolled her eyes. "And that bad guy is so lame. Wherefore, Alan Rickman? I ask you."

"It looks like he's ripping off what John Malkovich did in that movie where Clint Eastwood played the secret service agent," Angela agrees. "Booo-ring."

"Exactly. Give me sexy with accents, or give me C4 to get rid of them. Accept no substitutes." Parker settled back in as the game started up again. "I know none of these players, but I thought I heard the name Parker?"

"Maybe?" Angela says with a shrug. "I don't know the players either."

She grins. "You got a cousin in the NFL or something?"

Parker widened her eyes, then grinned. "Maybe. Or maybe he's a relative of Petey-boy's. Think we could get tickets this way?"

Angela laughs. "It'd probably be easuier to just act like groupies until they let us in," she says. "Or ... my uncle used to have Steelers season tickets. Do those get you into the Superbowl?"

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-02-06 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
"I think so?" Parker shrugged. "We have corporate tickets for most things. I wonder if any of the execs are there now?" She snorted. "The downside of the Centre is they're probably working on Superbowl Sunday, even if they have tickets."

Angela wrinkles her nose. "That kind of sucks. Do you think you're going to go work there like that, after college?"

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-02-06 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
"Probably." Parker paused to cheer the Steelers scoring, then added, "I have an edge on working there since my dad does, but that'll just mean I have to prove I didn't get in through nepotism. Or because of reverse tokenism, and being a woman." She shrugged, then grinned. "Three years, and no one will dare suggest it."

Angela's attention is on the TV for a few moments as the Steeler's touchdown gets an instant replay. "Yay, we get to keep the points!," she cheers.

Then she turns back to Parker. "You'll have them all under one boot in 18 months, seriously."

Parker grinned. "If I only wear Prada, you might be right."
