2nd floor common room, evening

It's probably an act of desperation that Cameron is sitting in the common watching the Super Bowl. It is kinda nice with the surround system, but it's still football which really doesn't compare to basketball. Still, he's got popcorn and chips and he's feeling kinda fuzzy.

"Having a soul doesn't mean anything," Bel said coldly. "It doesn't mean you have a choice. It just means...." He searched for the right words, but wasn't sure he should say them anyway. He turned away and started to leave.

Cameron gave her a small smile, he hadn't realised people were listening and it made him a bit more hesitant when he asked Bel; "It just means what?"

Cameron wasn't sure if he was following this, he frowned at Bel. "No, man. Having a soul means exactly that. I means you have control to make the tough decisions. You are at the wheel and sometimes you end up driving in a ditch but most of the time you're steering."

Okay, he was losing track again. He frowned and gathered his thoughts again. "That whole fuss we threw in Ethics class about slavery? Taking away someone's choice is one of the lowest things to do."

"Try living with that kind of thing your entire life," Bel said. "Then talk to me about having a choice." His aggitated tone made it clear he was done with this line of conversation for now.
