2nd floor common room, evening

It's probably an act of desperation that Cameron is sitting in the common watching the Super Bowl. It is kinda nice with the surround system, but it's still football which really doesn't compare to basketball. Still, he's got popcorn and chips and he's feeling kinda fuzzy.

"I... don't know," Peter said. "Also? Goofy teeth, come on."

"And that nose."

"I've never actually paid attention to his nose," Peter shrugged. "But he often has weird hair."

"You really don't like him, do you?"

"I don't like actors," Angel said.

"Why not?" Peter asked curiously.

"What do they do that's so special?" Angel asked. "Don't get me wrong, I like movies and plays and everything. But some short guy with bad hair and a worse laugh makes billions of dollars and is adored by the world, when the folks who save the world once a week don't get any attention? Doesn't make sense."

Peter had never saved the world, but he had stopped a bunch of criminals and received more attention than he really cared for. But he could see Angel's point. "That makes sense. Your argument, that is, not the actual situation. It would be nice if the heroes got paid."

And then he remembered that some of the heroes in his world did get paid. And he'd be pulled into that group whether he wanted it or not. He wasn't happy with this line of thinking, so he started thinking more about how his arbitratily picked team was about to lose.

"I dunno about paid," Angel admitted. "Just... noticed? Not given such a hard time about it?"

"How about noticed and given a hard time about it?" Peter asked. "That happens, too, unfortunately."

"That what it's like where you're from?" Angel asked.

"For some people," Peter said with just a touch of bitterness in his voice.

"Back home the only folks who ever noticed Buffy were the cops," Angel said. "And the mayor. 'course, he was evil."

Peter had to use context clues to figure out that this Buffy was a hero of some sort since he had never met the Buffy who went to school at FH. He nodded.

"Tabloid newspaper. Colorful superhero. The discovery that libel can sell a lot of papers. Sucks. And I worked at that paper, too, which made things extra fun."

"That does suck," Angel said. "But see what I mean? People's priorities about where the credit should go are completely screwed up."

"I totally see what you mean," Peter said.

"Pfft. Your guys won. Congrats."
