Gym [Monday Night] - Fight Club

Bridge comes in to the gym after Tactics of War and starts to set up for the Fight Club meeting. Which doesn't actually require any setting up at all, really, apart from picking a discarded pair of boxing gloves up off the sparring mats.

"Hey, dudes!" Bridge says once everyone's arrived. "So... I'm sure you're wondering just what the point of this club is. So I'm gonna try and explain what I had in mind. I figure there's probably two groups of people here- those of us who want to use this as a time to keep up skills we already have, and those who have some knowledge of self-defense but want to get a little more experience with offensive fighting. Teamwork is an important part of this club- it's not just going to be one-on-one sparring- because let's face it, life isn't always that fair. Sometimes we'll be evenly matched. Sometimes we'll have a smaller group against a much larger one. Learning to co-ordinate with your teammates, when to follow orders and when to give them- that's what I hope to work on with everyone here. Sound good?" He asks.

"Now... since my announcement of tonight's meeting was sort of last minute, I realise not everyone might be prepared to jump right in to fighting today. So all we'll do tonight is introductions. Names and some sort of vague general background information about why you're here."

"I guess it'd make sense for me to start?" Bridge grins. "Um, Bridge Carson, currently an SPD Cadet- once I get my Ranger powers, my teammates and I will be Earth's front line of defense against stuff like hostile aliens and demons," he shrugs.

Edward shoved his hands loosely into the pockets of his pants. "I'm Edward Elric, and I'm a State Alchemist."

"Um, I'm Alphonse Elric. I was trained in fighting skills myself, so I figured joining this club would be a good way to keep my skills from getting rusty n'all." He scratched the back of his head meekly.

"I'm Charlie Kawalsky. Just your average, everyday guy."

Yep.

"Aeryn, Peacekeeper... Which means nothing to any of you so let's settle with military," she decides.

"Pip Bernadette," Pip said. "Trained as a mercenary all my life. Spent a year of my life as a mercenary earning money to come here. Know a bunch of millitary stuff. Some savate as well."
