Gym [Monday Night] - Fight Club
Bridge comes in to the gym after Tactics of War and starts to set up for the Fight Club meeting. Which doesn't actually require any setting up at all, really, apart from picking a discarded pair of boxing gloves up off the sparring mats.
"Hey, dudes!" Bridge says once everyone's arrived. "So... I'm sure you're wondering just what the point of this club is. So I'm gonna try and explain what I had in mind. I figure there's probably two groups of people here- those of us who want to use this as a time to keep up skills we already have, and those who have some knowledge of self-defense but want to get a little more experience with offensive fighting. Teamwork is an important part of this club- it's not just going to be one-on-one sparring- because let's face it, life isn't always that fair. Sometimes we'll be evenly matched. Sometimes we'll have a smaller group against a much larger one. Learning to co-ordinate with your teammates, when to follow orders and when to give them- that's what I hope to work on with everyone here. Sound good?" He asks.
"Now... since my announcement of tonight's meeting was sort of last minute, I realise not everyone might be prepared to jump right in to fighting today. So all we'll do tonight is introductions. Names and some sort of vague general background information about why you're here."

Re: Other stuff!
She bobs a few times and pulls her right fist back, but pops the left one out towards his jaw, gently.
Re: Other stuff!
John moves around to her left and gives her the ol' 1-2. She's got him on power, so he'll have to get her on speed.
Re: Other stuff!
"Hmmm." she says, bouncing back, "He's fast folks, what'll she do next?"
She's shorter then him, which can be an advantage, except that he's got reach on her.
She attempts to skuttle under his reach to the side and, taking a page out of Nadia's book, swings around for a round house kick to the lower back.
Re: Other stuff!
John reacts to the roundhouse kick with a lower forearm block and half spins inside her guard for another rib shot before she can get her foot back on the ground.
Re: Other stuff!
She attempts to grab John's arm while trying to get her foot down.
Re: Other stuff!
He drops his stance a bit, leading with his left side.
Re: Other stuff!
Could probably use that against him later...
Pippi follows suit in dropping her stance as well, making her even shorter. She scoots around to the left, circling John. Inching closer and closer.
Re: Other stuff!
His pimp hand is strong.Re: Other stuff!
She ducks down and launches herself at his legs.
Re: Other stuff!
Note the "tries". It doesn't work, and he goes down in a Pippi-John heap.
Re: Other stuff!
Pippi wriggles around under John and grabs his arms in a full-nelson.
"Well... This is fun." comes her muffled voice.
Re: Other stuff!
Turtle?
Turtle.
Using his legs (and his arms, which swing uselessly in the air like a T-Rex's), he manages to rock and twist enough to make maintaining the hold difficult. It's either this works or he starts on the fingers.
Re: Other stuff!
She lets go of his arms and tries to get a hold of him by his waist.
Re: Other stuff!
Re: Other stuff!
"Nerg!"
She opens her arms to John as he falls back toward her.
"Hugs?"
Re: Other stuff!
And then does a backwards somersault out of the crazy redhead's reach.
Re: Other stuff!
She stays in place, bouncing on the balls of her feet.
"That was a neet move. Would you teach me that sometime?"
Re: Other stuff!
"You do know you're hella strong, right?"
Re: Other stuff!
"Oh yes, I surely am. I take after my pop. He's stronger then me... For now."
Re: Other stuff!
John circled around her, making sure to stay out of grappling range for sure. He doesn't want to be snapped in half.
Re: Other stuff!
"Oh, yes. Papa is of course. I would suspect there are other people stronger then me... I met a man in town who says that he's the strongest man... In the world! People back home used to say I was the strongest girl in the world. And I guess that's true, when I'm at home..."
It dawns on her why he may have rubbed his jaw and stopped bouncing.
"I didn't hurt you did I?"
Re: Other stuff!
Cuz dislocated kneecaps? That's just mean.
