3rd Floor Common Room - 6PM Fandom Time - PARTY!!!

At promply 6:00, Victor can be heard running up and down the stairs yelling "FREE FOOD! 3RD FLOOR!" Any who decides to investigate will find several tables full of various foods set up in the third floor common room. A delicious combination of smells wafts from the display, and several students are standing and waiting to serve you. The entrees are:

Table 1: Sweedish Meatballs, Various Pickled Herrings, and Pancakes

Table 2: Homemade Spaghetti with Garlic Bread

Table 3: Coq au vin (Basically rooster stew cooked with red wine)

Table 4: Cock and Bull Stew (Chicken, beef cubes, tomatoes, potatoes, spices)

Table 5: Warm Apple Pie (Whipped Cream optional)

Table 6: Rice Balls and Sushi, courtesy of Sakura! Yum!

There are a couple of unfolded tables just in case someone decides to add something to the buffet. There is also a table filled with disposable plates, cups, bowls, and utensils, as well as napkins. In the corner are a variety of bottled juices and sodas in an ice chest.

And, as promised, there are Twinkies. Boxes and boxes of Twinkies.

So what are you waiting for? Dig in! Mingle! Celebrate diversity!

[OCD Threads are up!]

"I didn't get any real injuries from the big fight that day; I got kinda careless during our spar and kicked into Brother's automail arm." Alphonse laughed at himself. "I attempted the spaghetti, and I'm hoping it doesn't do anything wierd to anyone. I'm not really much of a cook."

"Well, it looks really good, and trust me," said Anders, "it cannot possibly be worse than me cooking. Me and Sam Carter are probably the two people around here who are the last ones you want cooking for you. You know what she got me for Christmas? A spatula and a fire extinguisher."

He grinned. "I'm gonna need 'em, whenever I get up the nerve to try cooking again."

Alphonse laughed. "It's not too difficult once you know what you're doing, but I'm also not too familiar with how a lot of this stuff operates." He pointed to the oven. "Can't say I've had much experience with that. Or those microwave things. Or much of most things, really."

"Technology really different where you're from, then?" asked Anders.

"Moreso not as technologically advanced," Alphonse replied. "Back home there's a lot of people who can use alchemy, so there's no need for, say, big machinery to really fix anything. Energy sources are different, and I still don't understand those computers, either." He scratched the back of his neck meekly. "I'm trying to get the hang of things, though."

"Ah, I get it." Anders nodded. "Funny thing for me is, the technology's almost exactly the same except for how we have spaceships. But I think we all have things we're still trying to get the hang of. Like corners on paper. That's weird for me," he admitted with a slightly sheepish smile.

Alphonse quirked an eyebrow. "No corners? So everyone does what, write on circular paper?"

"Well, no, there's corners, but, um . . ." Anders set his plate down for a moment and attempted to illustrate with his hands, which probably only served to muddle things up more. "Like, take a piece of paper and fold all the corners down so it's got eight sides instead of four? Except that four of those sides are really, really short? I have no idea why it is that way, but that's how our paper looks. And books, and even movies and stuff."

"Oh! So it's like a piece of paper in the shape of an octogon instead of a rectangle?"

Anders snapped his fingers. "Octagon! Yeah! That's the word. Yep, that's it exactly."

Alphonse snickered. "That's actually pretty interesting. And when I think about it, I'm surprised this place uses normal paper instead of... Well, who knows what, but I'm sure someone could come up with something pretty crazy."

"Come up with something crazy, and I bet there's someone in this school who might use it to write on." Anders's eyes suddenly narrowed as an odd thought hit him. "Like, on cows or something. I don't know. Actually, in that case I'm not sure I want to."

Alphonse couldn't help but laugh aloud. "I'm sure if we started using cows, Brother would go absolutely nuts."

"What is it with him and cows anyway?" asked Anders, shaking his head a little. "He was giving me grief about drinking milk the other day at lunch."

"He hates milk," Alphonse answered, rolling his eyes slightly. "I never could understand why, but I strongly suggest to not bother offering it to him. He makes such a fuss about it, it's rediculous."
