fandomhighdorms | 4th Floor Common Room, Monopoly Game Night

Late Saturday afternoon, Isabel started preparing the fourth floor common room for Game Night. By the time the evening rolled around, the room was ready for fun. A table against the wall was loaded with an assortment of baked goods from Jeff, God of Biscuits and an assortment of chips and various dips. There was a cooler next to the table filled with bottles of water, fruit juice and cans of soda.

Four tables were arranged with Monopoly game boards and space for eight players at a table.

With everything ready she sat down to wait.

[OOC: Obviously we're not going to be rolling the dice for every turn. The game does need to end at some point tonight (preferebly before 5:30 in the morning). Hopefully there's enough links that you'll be able to fake it well enough to have fun. Game piece icons are available for the truly obsessed here ~~at each of the tables~~. Please note that

After detention, John heads upstairs to see if there's anyone at Game Night. And to forget about that stupid dream. Stupid detention.

"Hey John! Here to play?"

"Maybe," John answers, glancing at the tables. "Monopoly right?"

"Monopoly night. It looks like it's turning out to be a success. Pick a table. Have some fun!"

"Okay! Thanks!"

"Hey, John. What's up?"

"Just got out of detention, dude." John shakes his head. "I hate dreams."

Jack frowned at the seeming non sequitor, then shrugged. "So, are you coming to the party Mom's throwing me on Monday?"

"I think so," John says, smiling. "How old will you be? 50? 87?"

"Hey! Eighteen. Fully legal and fully loaded." Jack grins.

"Ah," John says and laughs. "Do all the men and women of Fandom know you're about to be legal and eager?"

Aeryn looks over from where she's standing and smiles a little when she sees John there.

John gives a little wave and smile. And almost wants a camera if she's planning on playing Monopoly.

She heads over, saying, "I thought detention would take longer."

"Took long enough," John answers, shoving his hands in his pockets. "You were kinda sleepy and not awake when I left this morning. I did wake you up though. I didn't leave without telling you."

Aeryn barely remembers that, but does appreciate it. Unfortunately, there's more of a reason to be worried about things like that now. "There are some things we need to talk about. Regarding the reasoning behind that."

He frowns and tries not to look too nervous.

"Something's happened?"

"Darla was arrested. She's claiming she's souled now," she says, her voice indicating what she thinks of that.

"Darla?" It takes him a moment to remember that name. "Oh. Oh! Souled? Like Angel's souled?"

"So she says."

"Are you okay?"

"Wouldn't be surprised if she goes to Angel for help," she says, noting that she wouldn't be surprised if he bought the act. It's not really answering the question, but in another way, yes it is.
