Rory had streamers and glitter and a newly-made, orange-and-white banner that read "HAPPY BIRTHDAY CALLY."

But Rory is not that tall. So she was having a bit of trouble hanging up the banner and streamers.

Well. She was having trouble inasmuch as she was being more flaily than usual.

"Thanks, Molly," Cally says. "How'd you know?"

"Ummm," Molly said hesitantly. "I didn't? I just happened to come in and find the decorations." She gave Cally an apologetic look.

"But!" She continued brightly. "I'm glad I found out because I would have been really sad to have missed your birthday." She grinned. "I don't have a present though. I'll have to get you something later. I hope you don't mind."

"Oh, please, there is no need for presents," Cally says, possibly flailing a teeny bit. "I don't want a fuss over this. At all."

Molly giggled and then leaned in to hug Cally. "Well, happy birthday! I'm glad I didn't miss it."

"Too bad," Rory replied, reaching next to the couch and retrieving a small, brightly-colored bag. "I got you something anyway.

Inside, Cally would find the entire Strifenova Celestial first season DVD set.

Cally slumps her head foreward a little. "You really, really didn't have to," she says, taking the bag from Rory. When she pulls out the DVD, a devious little smile appears on her face. "Oooooh, burly-" she covers up her sentence with a fairly obviously fake coughing fit.

Yes. Pretty," Rory nodded. "Not as fun as boykissing, but eyecandy? Still good, yes."

"Boykissing?" Cally raises an eyebrow. "When was there boykissing?"

"Last night. And a few days ago," Rory said, grinning. "We played Spin the Bottle."

"Was it anyone cute?" Cally asks innocently, hoping Anders isn't paying attention.

Rory nodded solemnly. "Many cute boys kissing other cute boys. Angel kissed Alex Krycek the other day. And Alex kissed Bridge, too."

Rory might have looked slightly annoyed by the latter.

"Bridge got kissed? By a guy?" Cally blinks a few times.

"Two different guys, actually. And a girl."

Again, slightly irritated-looking.

Cally notices the look, and thinks for a second. "Okay, whoa. That's a lot of kissing."

Rory shrugged. "That's the point of Spin the Bottle. We were all doing a lot of kissing. And most of us were a leeeeettle drunk."

"Wait... so who was the lucky girl who got to kiss Bridge?" Cally then realizes she's never asked Bridge whether or not he's actually into girls. "Or... did he seem more interested in the boykissing?"

"Parker," Rory answered, blanching a little. "And he didn't seem all that inclined to either. He was just kind of 'Yay, kissing!' about it all."

"You, erm... okay?" Cally's really starting to notice the reaction now. "You don't look so good, all of a sudden."

"Huh? No, I'm totally great," Rory said quickly, the color returning to her face in a rush. "Do you like the streamers? They were put up with the Force."

Yeah, nice segue, Rory.

"The force of what?" Cally asks.

"Have you ever seen Anakin float stuff?" Rory asked. "Because he uses something called the Force to do it. I don't get it, really. But it sounds cool."

"Ohhh, yeah. I think he did that one time to take me home," Cally says. "So... you and Anakin, you're, like, dating now, right?"

"What?" Rory's eyes went wide. "No! No, we're just friends. Why does everyone think we're going out?"

"Just rumours, I guess." Cally shrugs. "You know, if you're not, like, involved or anything..." Cally trails off, getting lost in her thoughts as she scratches her chin.

"What?" Rory asked, raising a brow and suddenly feeling very wary.
