Room 231, Sunday Morning
Sam was doing homework. A great deal of homework. And drinking coffee.
Since it was Sunday and she was seventeen, though, she'd also indulged in a chocolate croissant. She sat on the bed reading her book for Quantum Physics, but kept glancing over at the walls, wanting to see where the theorems Marty had pointed her towards could lead. Still, obligations first. She also had an essay due for ACJ that had to be handed in to Rory.
And if she was maybe a little concerned about the therapy session with Janet and the school counselor the next day, well, it happened.

She shrugged. "Memories of Atlantis mostly," she said. "I mean, it's not unusual for me to dream of it; but it just seems like every night I'm dreaming of it."

"Does it feel like you're remembering it, or do they feel more like stuff you're worried about? Because we could always call...Uncle George...and check, if you think it's happening."
no subject
"I don't think I'm remembering it. But I don't get why I would be worried about it, y'know? I mean, I could just be blending the two of the things I fear. I have pretty much constant exposure to the Goa'uld here; and not just any Goa'uld. "
She sighed. "It's pretty frustrating."
no subject
"But yeah, I could see why that would be frustrating. It's the sense of impending doom when you don't know what's going on."

She frowned and looked at Sam. "Um. I had a lot of mission files in not many days. But wasn't he banished for sharing knowledge on how to defeat the Goa'uld?"
"Precisely! I mean, I'm used to impending doom. Far more than I ever thought I would be. But this," she sighed. "It starts to reiterate the feelings of uselessness, y'know?"
no subject
"Maybe it's selective," she said, hopefully. "And the last two weekends pretty much took care of any uselessness I was feeling. The quiet this weekend was actually a nice change. But yeah, I know what you mean."

Janet frowned. "Didn't you have a period of missing time?" she asked. "You were gone for a few days and came back without knowing where you'd been."

OOC: Let me know if anything I come up with is a problem.

ooc: Will do. It's basing roughly on what we discussed a couple of weeks back, with more of your suggested idea than my original plans *g*

"That's good," she nodded. "I honestly feel like I don't know what I want. When we get things like Snow monsters attacking, I wish things were normal. But then we get normality, and I get bored so quickly of it!"
no subject
"I don't want normal," said Janet. "Not all the time. I'm not used to it. But what I want is to have my life back, and that's not possible."

She sighed. "I'll bet the Asgard don't have to deal with these issues.
no subject
"Well, no, but it's part of their culture...and if you want a full analysis, you actually know someone who gets off on explaining it, so I'll leave you alone on that subject."

"I want it because I know I can't have it," Elizabeth shrugged. "I think the only place I could conceivably feel comfortable that I could go now is college, and even that wouldn't be considered normal to everyone else's point of view."
no subject
"This is about the only place we seem to come close to fitting in," said Janet. "And even so, I still don't often feel right here."
