Second Floor Common Room - Lateish Evening

After putting in an appearance at Jack's party, Rory retrieved Vladdie from her room and changed into the cozy, cozy jammies Jake had given her for Christmas.

She hopped out into the common room, set Vladdie down on the floor, and took up the remote while keeping the puppy carefully in her sights.

"Uh huh," Rory said, looking innocent. "That sucks."

"Yeah," Callisto shook her head. "I suggested he ask someone over for a friendly dinner, but he didn't seem to think the person he wanted to ask seemed interested."

Okay, she was bending the truth a little but, really, she was just trying to be a good friend.

"Oh, well, I'm spending some time with him tomorrow," Rory said lightly.

"That's good, because you just know what Skeeter would do to him if she found out he spent all of Valentine's day alone."

"She's probably already decided that I'm spending it with at least five people," Rory sighed.

"Then it won't really matter if you spend a friendly evening with him, since everyone would just assume she was making up stories about you again," Callisto pointed out with great sutblety.

"Uh huh, because that's what we are. Friends. Just friends," Rory said firmly.

"Never said you were anything but," Callisto believed Rory. Really. "But as far as I'm aware, there's no law that two people who are just friends can't spend time together on Valentine's day."

"So what are you and Angel up to?" Rory asked, because yay for segues.

"Don't know yet," Callisto said. "But it'll probably involve scrapbooking at some point."

Rory blinked. "Well. Do they?"

Callisto grinned and shook her head. "Nuh-uh."

"Yay," Rory replied, her brow creasing. "And now I'm wondering technical stuff, and you've made me go all thinky, damn it."

"What kind of technical stuff?" Callisto asked 'innocently'.

"Is he impotent? Or does he just not produce...." Rory trailed off, turning very red. "No, seriously, I don't want to know."

"He's not impotent," Callisto was not getting revenge for anything, nope. "Very, very not impotent."

"So then is he infertile or whatever?" Rory clapped a hand over her mouth. "Seriously, I have to stop asking questions."

"I'm going with infertile because, y'know, that whole undead thing."

"Oh, so he does produce - yes. Okay. Good to know. Let's talk about like, anything else now."

"So, I wonder what Skeeter's going to turn John into tomorrow," Rory said, trying to change the subject.

"Maybe she'll change tactics and lock him in the closet," Callisto said. "She likes doing that."

"Did she do that to you and Alex?" Rory asked, raising an eyebrow.
