Third floor common room, Wednesday night

Angela has a beautiful copy of Handmaid's Tale to flip through, a kitty curled up next to her and purring, a fresh episode of Vanessa Saturn to watch, and soda and candy to munch on.

Yet, strangely, she is not smiling. Perhaps it is just because she isn't on the FLOOR OF AWESOME, but she seems vaguely uneasy.

Rory wandered out into her own common room, and upon finding it unoccupied, went up a floor in search of entertainment. She entered the third floor common room, cuddling Vladdie close. "Were you a good boy for Bridgey? Yes you were," she said, scritching the puppy's tummy.

Minerva hisses a little at the fluffy intruder, but Angela puts a restraining hand on the cat. "Hey, Rory. Hi, Vladdie."

Vladdie yipped excitedly, and pawed at the air over Rory's shoulder. Rory sighed. "Hi. Did I tell you that Steve the invisible pal is a kitty?"

Xander, who hadn't been back to his room since he'd gone to see Aeryn, didn't even go near the second floor common room to see that it was empty. It's got that note in it, or it might still have, and that really messed up the decor, as far as he was concerned.

He carried Jeremiah's tank into the third floor lounge instead, and waved at Rory and Angela. "Hey people." And dog and cat. "And small furry people."

Faithful flew into the room, looking quite uncomftorable.

Rory waved back. "Hi!" Vladdie yipped, and went back to studying the air over Rory's shoulder. "I wonder if Jeremiah can see Steve."

Vladdie yipped at the omgnewkittyfriend.

"You did," Angela said. "I'm not sure if Min can see him. It."

She rubs the cat under the chin. "Notice anything strange?" she asks.

Min sneezes.

"I don't think she can."

"Get any closer and die." Faithful snarled at the yipping thing from somewhere near the cieling.

Angela waved. "Hey, Xander. How's -- is Jeremiah the frog's name? The grouch here is Min."

Min glanced up at Faithful. //Why can you do that?//

Xander raised his eyebrows. "Aaaaaand Steve would be?"

Jeremiah, meanwhile, looked calmly out of his tank. In the same direction Vladdie was looking, yeah, but then, that's the way the tank was facing.

"Vladdie's invisible friend," Rory explained. "Sean can see him, I think. And John as a dog could."

Faithful glared somewhere out of the room. //Because my owner is clinically insane.// Faithful's paw went up in a rather unnatural wave. His tail twitched normally. //Last night, it was a teddy bear. Tonight, me.//

Vladdie, unfortuately, was a baby and did not speak English that well.

So he flew up to the ceiling and did a flip for his new friend!

"Oh well," Rory said, setting Vladdie down so he could continue his conversation with Steve. "What happened with you and Zero? I saw you leave before I dragged her off."

Faithful flew closer to Vladdie, even thoug he appeared to be leaning away. "I've had it! Alanna put me down now! I am not a toy! And I don't want to be within ten feet of that thing!" Faithful yewled, loudly.

Sniggering could be heard from the hallway.

Anakin, heading up to his room after saying goodbye to Aeryn, noticed the growing petting zoo in the third floor common room.

Remembering Rory's request for Yoda to be more social, he went up to his room and returned with a tiny, tiny turtle.

"Hello, everyone," he said, walking into the room.

If he beamed just a little bit at seeing Rory, well, he did.

Angela waved. "Hi, Anakin. Who's your friend?"

"Hi," Rory said, smiling shyly and going a bit red.

Vladdie padded over and yipped a greeting.

Vladdie poked Faithful's nose.

Angela rolled her eyes. "She's still mad and I kind of lost my temper at her. Why did you apologize, anyhow? It's not like we're personally responsible for Study Group."

Seraphim hears mewing and yipping and slinks into the third floor common room.

Anakin held up his hand. "This is Yoda," he said. "He was a Christmas present." He smiled at Angela. "I don't think he likes me all that much, but he seems happy with everyone else."

He gave Yoda a curious look. "At least I think he does. He's kinda hard to read."
