Third floor common room, Wednesday night

Angela has a beautiful copy of Handmaid's Tale to flip through, a kitty curled up next to her and purring, a fresh episode of Vanessa Saturn to watch, and soda and candy to munch on.

Yet, strangely, she is not smiling. Perhaps it is just because she isn't on the FLOOR OF AWESOME, but she seems vaguely uneasy.

Rory wandered out into her own common room, and upon finding it unoccupied, went up a floor in search of entertainment. She entered the third floor common room, cuddling Vladdie close. "Were you a good boy for Bridgey? Yes you were," she said, scritching the puppy's tummy.

Minerva hisses a little at the fluffy intruder, but Angela puts a restraining hand on the cat. "Hey, Rory. Hi, Vladdie."

Vladdie yipped excitedly, and pawed at the air over Rory's shoulder. Rory sighed. "Hi. Did I tell you that Steve the invisible pal is a kitty?"

"Hey Rory." Alanna was working on getting the blood to stop flowing from her nice scratches.

Xander, who hadn't been back to his room since he'd gone to see Aeryn, didn't even go near the second floor common room to see that it was empty. It's got that note in it, or it might still have, and that really messed up the decor, as far as he was concerned.

He carried Jeremiah's tank into the third floor lounge instead, and waved at Rory and Angela. "Hey people." And dog and cat. "And small furry people."

Rory waved back. "Hi!" Vladdie yipped, and went back to studying the air over Rory's shoulder. "I wonder if Jeremiah can see Steve."

Xander raised his eyebrows. "Aaaaaand Steve would be?"

Jeremiah, meanwhile, looked calmly out of his tank. In the same direction Vladdie was looking, yeah, but then, that's the way the tank was facing.

Angela waved. "Hey, Xander. How's -- is Jeremiah the frog's name? The grouch here is Min."

Faithful flew into the room, looking quite uncomftorable.

Min glanced up at Faithful. //Why can you do that?//

Anakin, heading up to his room after saying goodbye to Aeryn, noticed the growing petting zoo in the third floor common room.

Remembering Rory's request for Yoda to be more social, he went up to his room and returned with a tiny, tiny turtle.

"Hello, everyone," he said, walking into the room.

If he beamed just a little bit at seeing Rory, well, he did.

Angela waved. "Hi, Anakin. Who's your friend?"

"Hi," Rory said, smiling shyly and going a bit red.

Wow. Way to be sneaky, guys.

Vladdie padded over and yipped a greeting.

Seraphim hears mewing and yipping and slinks into the third floor common room.

Minerva slinks over and sniffs Seraphim in greeting. //You live in the attic, right? I believe we met, once.//

Faithful flies over and hovers above Seraphim. "This isn't called putting me down Alanna! It's just called moving me away from the hyper active dog!" He glanced down at the cat three feet under neath him and waved.

/FRIEND!/ Vladdie said, launching himself at the wee furry thing.

Lockheed decided to get some exercise by flying around the dorms a little. Then he saw the Third Floor Common Zoo.

He fled back down the stairs.

Peter was walking up the stairs to go to his room when he noticed that his common room was actually being used. Then he looked around and saw all the animals. He would have felt left out if he stayed because he had no pet.

And then he remembered... Spider-Man. He kind of was an animal, technically speaking. So he waved as he started off towards his room.

Marty waved at Peter and also had no pet. "Hey Pete, where you going?"

Marty wandered up to the floor that was not quite as awesome as second, but it still had some awesome people in it. Like his girlfriend.

Marty flopped down on the couch next to Angela. "Hey you! Hey Minerva!"

Min scowled at Marty but begrudgingly positioned herself to be petted.

Angela squeaked and leaned her head on Marty's chest. "Heyyyyy. I haven';t seen you in years and years."

Walter really had intended to go to bed, but Pup had heard the sound of so many animals coming from the common room that he'd snuck out past Walter when he opened the dorm room door a few moments earlier.

Now a pajama clad Walter is following his puppy into the common room.

Pup was thrilled to see all the other animals.
