Fourth Floor Common Room - Saturday Afternoon

After hamming it up at play auditions, Shep brings the ferrets down to the common room for a change of scenery. He has his US History homework and his computer with the Sims on it. After channel surfing for a while he ends up with the VH1 Top Twenty Countdown on the t.v.

Come on in to bother him, but watch where you sit. :)

"Borrowing my books, are you? Besides, I just got it for the pictures. I mean, to do my homework. And we weren't supposed to look at that part for our homework. So I didn't. Yeah. That's it. Yeah."

"I don't think I saw that part when I -" Lana stops dead.

She didn't think Shep knew she knew about his copy of the book and she was *pretty* sure he didn't know about her and Kiki's little adventure with it. "Never mind," she said hastily, flushing red again.

Shep's sharper than that. When he wants to be.

"You didn't see that part when you *what*?" He tickles her a little. "Doing some advance recon?"

"I don't know what you're talking about," Lana says in a futile attempt to get out of this, then giggles helpelessly as he tickles her.

He tickles her again. "You said, you didn't see something in the Kama Sutra when you... Fill in the blank. What were you doing?"

She squirms, trying to catch and still his hands with little success. "Okay, okay!" She gives in finally still giggling uncontrollably. "When I went to Aziraphale's bookshop and looked at it myself!"

Looking suitably mortified Shep squeaked, "You and Aziraphale looked at the Kama Sutra??"

"Oh God, no!" Lana says, appalled. "It was me and - someone else." There was no way she was going to give up Kiki's part in this. "Though Aziraphale and Dr. Wilson did sort of... see us - me - looking at it and it was pretty much totally embarrassing."

"Oh, god, Dr. Wilson. That guy probably figured I'd find a way to strangle myself with a condom." He beat his head back into the back of the couch.

"No, he just figured you'd - Um... never mind." Lana looks horrified at how close she came to saying that.

"Oh, no... spill. He figured I'd... what?"

Lana's face was flaming. "He, um... might have mentioned that you and I would do better with a book on first aid and then he might have said something about making sure that, um... youwerefullyerectbeforeputtingthecondomon or there'd be... problems and he'd never let you live it down."

Han laughs. "When your lover has a copy, in the original language and knows how to do it all..."

"If your supremely stupid phrase was 'let's' I'm pretty willing. Got my stitches out today and I feel more like msyelf."

Shep leans over towards Han and whispers, "My supremely stupid phrase was, you can't help me help her lose her virginity. Let her get a little practice in before she tries to take us both at once."

He sat back up. "Now do you see why I wasn't gonna go there?"

Lana caught enough of that to be both mortified and intrigued. She pretended she'd heard none of it.

"Doesn't sound so stupid to me. Sounds like what we agreed to."

"What?" Lana asks. "What *exactly* do you mean by that?"

Han looks puzzled. "I thought we decided, back when I was a girl, that me taking you to bed before you had some experience with a mainstock human was a bad idea."

"Okay, yes, I guess... But... that doesn't... You made it sound like this was some *deal* you and Shep had between you. Which.." She shoots Shep a so-better-not-be-true-or-I'll-really-be-kicking-your-ass look.

"No deal, just kinda informal. Since it's him you're really sweet on, after all, i figured it was gonna be him."

Lana looks back and forth between the two of them, still looking unsure as to whether she wants to be really pissed off or not. "Shep... yeah, it's going to be him. As long as he still wants to," she added, tossing him a glance. "Anything else... I don't know. Won't know till... I don't know when."

Han gives her a smile and strokes the side of her face. "That's fine. Look, Doll, I'll never push you, never ask you to do anything you don't want. If you decide it's never, that's fine."

Lana looks at him intently, then nods. "Okay. I believe you. And I... It's not that I'm not sweet on you, too, it's just that it's... *different* than with Shep."

Han stands up, and kisses her forehead. "I understand. Believe me I understand." He puts his jacket on. "All I'm doing here is making trouble. I'm going up to the roof for a smoke."
