2nd Floor Common Room - Saturday Morning

Logan sat on the couch eating Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs and watching cartoons. Multiple boxes of different sugar-coated cereal were on the kitchen counter and there was milk in the fridge, if anyone wanted to join him.

"I'm no longer covered in glitter so that's good," she smiled. "And so far I seem to have avoided picking up any sort of random power. Poor Mac is upstairs a bit freaked out. Stuff she touches turns into tortillas."

Angel blinked at this development.

"Is Yearbook having a food sale again? And did Mac eat any of it?"

"I don't know. But I'm being very careful about what food I eat around here for the next few days." She shook her head, "We're going to be watching the Toy Story movies up there later if you want to stop by and ask."

"Toy Story?" Angel perked up. "You know for some odd reason I really identify with the first movie of the series. Not so much the second. Nothing I could put a name to though."

"The first movie was definitely the best. The second was okay. But Mac hasn't seen either of them," Isabel explained. "That's why the double feature. Hey, if I see Vala I'll see if I can get more of that chicken flavored popcorn for you."

"I dunno what it is about the first one but I just feel this urge to search the credits really hard," Angel said. "I can't find whatever name it is I'm looking for though. Huh. Weird. Anyway, yeah, sure. If Mac's okay with giving me the invite."

Isabel ~~headdesked because she finally got the joke~~ grinned, well some of the outtakes they show are pretty funny, so it's not like you're wasting time. And we're watching it in the common room. So I don't think invites are going to be an issue."

Angel ~~has a player who amuses herself far too easily~~ ~~she also realizes how DIRTY! that sounds~~ grinned back, "Oh, well, that's perfect then. I could bring Callisto too, and decrease the odds of my girlfriend wanting to kill me."

"That would be a very good idea. In fact that would be a great idea." Fortunately, Isabel was mostly over her embarassment. Well at least until she looked at Angel, then she turned slightly pink. "We'll probably start sometime late this afternoon or early in the evening. Hopefully there won't be another fish funeral tonight to make everyone sad."

Angel had been a little caught up with Callisto and Logan ~~not that way... not until after Logan left anyway~~ to have heard this bit of news.

"Another what now?"

"Apparently Professor Tick's goldfish died. I missed the funeral, I guess because I'd been talking with you," Isabel explained. "But I wandered into the wake in the common room when I left. They were watching Jacques Costeau documentaries as a tribute."

"Oh, that's kind of handy," Logan said.

"Not when it's your chemistry book. Especially when it still smells book-like and you can see writing on the tortilla," Isabel said.

"Okay, ew," Logan agreed.

"Definitely." Isabel raised a spoonful of cereal. "This is much better."

"Mac's doing what?" Veronica asked. "She was fine yesterday when we saw her."

It's also entirely possible that Veronica was watching to see if Isabel would do anything weird or unexplainable. She hadn't had any luck with her computer searches yet, but she hadn't given up.

"Turning stuff that she touches into tortillas. It's really weird," she said.

It's entirely possible that Isabel's cereal is tinged just a bit pink from the tabasco sauce she discreetly dumped into it.

"Weird seems to be pretty much common around here these days," Veronica pointed out.

"I've just accepted weird as a fact of life since I came here," Isabel said with a grin. "But people's arms falling off? Or making stuff into tortillas with just a touch? That's taking weird to a whole new level."

"Yeah, not as useful as some of the other powers people around here have," Veronica said.

"True, I'd like to have Jake's shape-shifting ability. I could turn myself into a guy and skip the insanely long line for the ladies room." Isabel smiled, completely oblivious to the subtext, after all only three people knew her secret and she trusted them not to say anything.

"My roommate can blow stuff up," Veronica said with a smile. She toyed with the idea of mentioning what Xander had told her about Isabel, but decided it was better to keep that to herself for now. After all, on the off chance that Isabel was dangerous, she certainly didn't need another angry evil person after her.

"Really? Who's your roommate?" Isabel asked. "That could be a fun power to have if you're looking to get rid of some frustration."

"Piper Halliwell. She and her sisters are witches," Veronica confided in a low voice.

"Oh, I haven't met her yet. But I need hear about them," Isabel said. "It's still weird for me to think that magic and everything associated with it is real."
