Fourth Floor Common Room: Saturday early evening

Lana curled up on the couch in the common room with her Forensics homework and a soft throw. The TV was on quietly in the background. She was finding it hard to concentrate on anything and was absolutely interruptable.

"Hey Lana!" Isabel said as she came into the room. "Feel like watching a movie?"

"Isabel, hey. Yes, please - anything to distract me. I'm making myself crazy!" Lana rubbed a hand over her face, then put her Forensics books on the floor. "Got one in mind?"

"Mac is supposed to come up and join me. She's never seen either of the Toy Story movies. So we thought we'd do a double feature." Isabel said as she took a seat on the couch.

"Sounds like fun," Lana said with a smile. "I could really use some fun mindless entertainment right about now."

"They're fun movies. I like the fact that they're really for kids, yet there's so many adult jokes in them," she grinned.

"Definitely," Lana said with a smile. "Hey, I haven't really seen you much, How are things going?"

"I've been busy," Isabel admitted. "Between classes, Student Council, trying to hit the gym on a regular basis..." She shrugged, "Sometimes it seems like there's not enough hours in the day."

"I hear you there. Things can get pretty busy around here - and pretty crazy as well!"

Mac has her hands grasping each other securely behind her back as she enters the common room. "Hey, Isabel," She puts a smile on her face but stays a couple of feet away. "I'm all ready to be enlightened on the greatness of Toy Story."

She nods at the other girl, still keeping her hands out the way, "I'm Mac, I don't think we've met."

"Hey Mac! And it is greatness. And wittiness! Come on over and have a seat," Isabel said, patting a spot on the counch.

"Hi, Mac. I'm Lana." She looked curiously at the other girl's stance, but didn't say anything. "I hope you don't mind if I watch with you guys."

"Nice to meet you." She nods again, dropping into the couch, "that's fine with me, the more the merrier... just uh, you might want to keep your distance. I'm having a few minor issues today. I feel like I should be in solitary confinement or something, just in case."

"Please, it's not like it's dangerous or anything. We'll be fine," Isabel said. And then stopped, because for some unknown reason, she was bouncing in her seat.

Mac looked a little unsure, "We don't know that, okay so far its just been little things... but I would really rather avoid turning any of my classmates in tortillas just in case. Imagine trying to explain that one away." She shook her head, and watched Isabel bounce for a moment, "wow, you really do like this movie huh?"

Isabel tried very hard to concentrate on not bouncing. But it didn't really work. Even when she held on, she still kept moving. "Damnit, I think whatever weird thing is going on around here has gotten me to."

Mac attempts to suppress a giggle, and fails miserably. "Oh, this just gets better. We have me transforming things into Mexican food, and you bouncing like a maniac. I feel better knowing it's not just me being hit with the crazy-magical things today."

"You are so much braver then me," Isabel said after Lana tasted the tortilla. "Oh well, I had this vague hope that I'd actually find some good southwestern food here."

"Well, you won't find it here!" Lana said with a rueful grin. "This is definitely still very Forensic text-booky."

"Yeah, I offered her some paper-tortilla earlier, and she chickened out." She laughed, "it was probably the sensible option to be honest. I doubt normal paper tastes a whole lot better than text books."

"So, shall we take a look at this movie? I've heard nothing but good things so far."

"Yup, movie time. I think you'll enjoy it." Isabel got to her feet and put the movie in the DVD player. Returning to the couch, she stopped, and then grabbed a pillow and sprawling out on the floor. "Ready?" she asked as she pressed the remote.

Mac nodded, "I am ready to be blown away. I hope you're ready for questioning on all the adult references in these things that always go completely over my head."

"We'll do our best," Lana said with a smile. "I haven't seen these in ages. It should be great!"

Sprawled on the floor, Isabel laughed at Mr. Potatohead's Picasso impression. "See, kids just don't get that."

"Oh, see that I get!" Mac looks genuinely proud, "I know very little about art, but I do think Picasso when I see that. I'm getting there I think, work still needs to be done, but it's a start."

Lana smiles. "I just think Woody is so sweet. Wouldn't you like to have a guy as nice as him?"
