Fourth Floor Common Room: Saturday early evening

Lana curled up on the couch in the common room with her Forensics homework and a soft throw. The TV was on quietly in the background. She was finding it hard to concentrate on anything and was absolutely interruptable.

"Yeah, that could be a tricky thing to explain," Lana said. "Not to mention the whole not sleeping thing for as long as it lasts. Though I'm trying to avoid eating as much as possible at the moment. There are some things you just do NOT want to know are in your food."

"Oh, I don't think I want to explain the piles of mexican food littering my room to mine either. She already doesn't trust me and food since the twinkie incident."

She paused, "it'd probably a good thing she doesn't trust it though, means I probably won't come back to find she's eaten my books."

"Well after Xander sang to me, I think he'd be pretty understanding. But it would still be weird," Isabel said.

"Wait, your roommate would eat your books?"

Mac sniggered quietly, "well, she certainly wouldn't eat them knowingly... but when they're disguised as food and scattered around the room," she shrugged. "If you ignore the typing on them and the funny smell. She might."

"I can definitely see how it would be weird. Fortunate that everyone here is pretty used to the unusual really."

"And on that note," Lana said, "Maybe I should try the whole taste-testing thing."

She gingerly picked up one of the tortillas and carefully touched her tongue to the end of it. "How weird," she said after a moment. "It's sort of half and half. I wouldn't recommend eating it. There's still an awful lot of wood fiber in it."
