2nd Floor Common Room [Sunday Night]

Bridge is bored. After hanging out with Anders and Cally for a while, he wanders in to the Common Room. He flips the TV on, and does a handstand, leaning against the wall for support.

He'd totally welcome interruptions, omg.

Peter was also bored. The CDs he bought yesterday had all been listened to a couple times and he was officially prepared to admit that punk wasn't necessarily for him. Oh well.

He wandered down to the second floor. "Hey, Bridge. What's up? Besides your feet."

"Not for your victims. Okay, the turtle probably enjoyed zooning through the air, but that's it," Peter joked.

"No," Peter said curiously. "What's the contest?"

"I'm sorry, but that's not really helping my comprehension here," Peter admitted. "What do you mean by 'animal balancing'?"

"So what's the contest? Who can balance more, you or Rory?" Peter asked. This sounded crazy even for this place.

This was just sounding crazier by the moment. In an entertaining way, though. "Who else is competing?"

Hamlet, (who always seems to be wandering into common rooms, doesn't he?) wanders into the second floor common somewhere around this point.

"You're balancing animals? On what, a see-saw?"

[identity profile] ihatedenmark.livejournal.com 2006-03-06 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
He raises an eyebrow in disbelief.

"You plan to balance animals on your heads? For what possible reason would you do that?"

Incredibly bored and not up to being alone, Archie heads up to the second floor.

"Cadet. You're upside down."

"Don't get philosophical on me tonight, Cadet," Archie laughs, dropping into a chair nearby and leaning forward to scrutinize Bridge. "Not when we have a week of no classes in front of us."

"And a welcome rest it is, after that exam for Professor the Tick." Archie throws a hand dramatically across his forehead and mimes passing out in his chair. "In between that and my history class, I'll need the entire break just to store up enough mental energy for the rest of the semester. Amazingly enough the class I thought would intimidate me the most at first is the least taxing one."

"Driver's Education, with Doctor Oliver? The one with the smart glasses? It's a challenge, yes, but somehow never drains me as much as the other two."

The exasperated but knowing look on Archie's face says it all. "Relatively? Yes. I actually find it much easier than the other two classes. Only in Fandom could such an absurd thing happen, my friend."
