4th Floor Common Room: 3/11 - Evening - Nadia's Birthday Party

Somebody has decorated the common room to the hilt for Nadia's birthday.

There are party hats and party favors enough for everybody. And a picata spread from Cafe Fina.

"Apparently feeding each other inedible bits."

He held his pack out to Pippi. "Cigarette? (http://www.mcphee.com/items/11588.html)"

"That's true. I can't blame you if I didn't notice that important distinction. Alfred wouldn't let me get away with that."

"Victor's managed to get me to stop smoking a lot of the time. I don't know if these candy cigarettes are a good thing or not."

Walter stretched out on the couch and looked for a place to put his feet. Pippi's lap appeared to be the most likely target.

Walter was watching people arrive. He wasn't paying attention to any of Pippi's tying-together urges.

And how many people really check their shoelaces to see if they've been tied together? Walter leaned back on the arm of the couch, chewed his gum, and watched people arriving until Nadia finally made her appearance.

Fortunately for his meager dignity, he called happy birthday to her (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhighdorms/503243.html?thread=24144843#t24144843) before he tried to stand up, which largely consisted of his intending to slide one foot off Pippi's lap and having the other foot unexpectedly join it.

His legs followed his feet, of course, and his body decided to join his two legs, resulting in his landing with a highly undignified thump on the floor.

"I'm fine," he muttered as he sat up and realized quite quickly where the source of the problem lay.

It may have been nobody's fault but his own, but that didn't stop Walter from shooting Pippi a sour look. The problem with being pranked by Pippi Longstocking, was that nothing really fazed her as a retaliation.

Walter was definitely pondering how to work around that.
