Somebody has decorated the common room to the hilt for Nadia's birthday.

There are party hats and party favors enough for everybody. And a picata spread from Cafe Fina.

He'd also brought picada (http://pics.livejournal.com/walter_n_wires/pic/000hgt1h/), a common setup of Argentine finger foods with cheeses, breads, meats, and foods that most people would recognize.

Nadia followed Veronica into the common room. To say she was completely unprepared for what she saw there would be an understatement.

Of course, she wasn't ENTIRELY sure what she was seeing, since she'd never equated construction with birthdays before.

Well, not after her thirteenth birthday when she and Cesar had gone to the construction site to--but that's another story, all together.
