First Floor Lobby [Tuesday Evening]

Fraser's reading a book he'd checked out from the library. He thinks it might be overdue and, thus, he's prepared to pay his fines. He makes a point to remember to visit the library tomorrow morning.

For now, he's quietly reading. Yes, he's wearing the hat and yes, Dief is sitting at his feet.

"Oh, yes, just keen!" Tick said. "I was just hoping you'd be available this Thursday to do that guest lecture we talked about. I know it's fairly short notice, but things were kind of wacky going into the break, and this would be the best time for it."

"Thursday?" Fraser looks down at Dief as if consulting with him. "I believe that will be favorable, Professor. I would be happy to lecture in your class."

"Thank you, Constable!" Tick said. "It's first period on Thursday. I'll be sure to give you an advantage and bring coffee for the students so they're sure to be completely awake and prepared to give you their full attention."

"Very well, Professor." Fraser nods. "Since your class is criminal justice, should I wear my uniform?"

"It might be good for demonstrative purposes, but you should wear whatever you'd feel comfortable lecturing in," Tick said. "That's why I wear a tie in class. It makes me feel all teacherly."

"Thank you," Fraser says. "I'll make sure to bring my hat to the class as so many people seem fascinated by it. If I wear the red and bring coffee, it migth be impossible for the students to fall asleep in class. If they do, I'm sure Diefenbaker would be happy to wake them." Fraser can make jokes on occaison.

"Lockheed likes to mock the sleeping students, so it would probably be best to let any sleepers rest for a couple minutes," Tick suggested.

"Lockheed?" Fraser asks.

"My roommate. He's a small, purple dragon. He likes to attend class," Tick explained.

Fraser laughs. "Just when I thought I'd heard everything unusual I could in Fandom. I'll be very pleased to let Lockheed taunt the sleeping students. I'm sure he's very skilled at it."

"He really is. I've thought about questioning what he did to become so skilled, but then I remembered that I don't speak Dragon and I don't really want to know," Tick said.

"So, he's sort of a teacher's assistant?"

"Not really. He attends class because the girl he lived with before was in class before she..." Tick trailed off for a moment. "I think he continues to attend to honor her in a way. And also because he enjoys teasing the students."

Fraser knows when not to push but he finds the thought touching.

"Lockheed sounds like a fine fellow. Will he be favorable to me guest lecturing?"

"Probably. Or he might steal your hat. But I think he'll like you. That might not stop him from stealing your hat," Tick said.

"Many people seem to enjoy my hat," Fraser tells him. "I think I've gotten used to it. As long as he doesn't eat it."

"He probably won't, unless it's made of Peeps," Tick said.

"Last time I checked, it was not made of Peeps." For this, Fraser is grateful. "Any specifc topics you'd like touched upon?"

"Nothing too specific. Just generally what your view of Justice is, how the system works in Canada, maybe a little about your personal experiences. Anything more specific is completely up to you," Tick said.

"Very good," Fraser replies, nodding. "I thank you for this opportunity."

"You're welcome, Constable!" Tick said. "I'll leave you be now, chum! Have a good night and I'll see you on Thursday morning!"
