Rory was curled up on the couch, half-focused on some notes she was making, and at least partially watching the television, which was playing an old Bitterwoman rerun.

If it looked like she might be splitting her attention a third way by watching the door, it was probably just your imagination.

Anakin had taken a nap in his room shortly after running into John, so he was feeling a little more like himself.

He didn't really look much like himself, though. He was wearing the tight jeans John had given him and the undertunic of his Jedi robes. His feet were bare.

He walked into the common room, still limping slightly, and grinned at Rory.

"Hey, stranger," he said, sitting down next to her.

"Hi," Rory said, staring at him. "...what are you wearing?"

Cally wandered into the room after class, and definitely brightened up when she saw Anakin.

However, since Rory was there, she restrained the urge to tackle-hug him. Instead, she sat down and smiled despite the Rory/Bridge flags that were crying in her head.

"Hey, you're feeling better," Rory noted. "Glad to see you up and about." And omgwtf flags do not have tear ducts.

Anakin looked down at the jeans. "John gave them to me," he said. "Thought I'd try something different today. Am I wearing them wrong or something?"

Anakin grinned at Cally. "Hey!" he said. His forehead wrinkled. "You weren't feeling well?"

"Thanks," Cally says. "And especially thanks for making Anders freak out. That was a fun handwavily experienced night." THEY ARE MAGIC FLAGS, OMG.

"Um. No. It's..." Rory raised an eyebrow appraisingly. "It's a good look for you." She blushed and tried not to stare.

"I was sick all last week," Cally says with a little wave. "So, did you have fun out... wherever?"

Anakin bit his lip. "Not exactly fun, no," he said finally. "But I was definitely busy." He smiled. "Got to see the new prototype for a starfighter."

Cally brightens even more. "Omigods, really? Awesome! What was it like?"

Anakin smiled. "Glad to hear it. John told me it was okay, but it's nice to have a second opinion."

"Oh, I didn't mean to," Rory said apologetically. "I was just kinda worried." MAGIC FLAGS OF CRYINGNESS?

"John is weird today," Rory said, still not staring.

"I'm glad to see you've at least gotten over that whole denial thing." Cally smirks.

"Mmm," Rory said, going back to her notes.

Anakin grinned, his hands gesturing. "They've upgraded the engines to give us more power by taking out some of the parts of the weapons targeting systems." He smiled. "Jedi can target faster using the Force than the computer could keep up anyway so it was really just taking up space. The new ship moves faster, goes further and looks really, really cool."

He stuck his lower lip out. "But they wouldn't let me bring one here."

"So, what've you been up to? I'm kinda out of the loop on everything."

"That sounds really cool," Cally says. "And they might not let you have one, but... we still have the Viper."

"I cut my hair," Rory replied, pointing at her head. "Anakin's back," she pointed at him. "And the play was frelling weird."

"John's weird every day," Anakin pointed out. "Did he get turned into anything fun today?"

He looked embarrassed. "I was supposed to move that for you," he said. "Sorry. I can do that this week?"

"Oh, yeah, I like it," Cally says. "And yay for Anakin, and sorry I kinda, erm, never showed up to be part of the play."

"Whenever you like. The scary principal disappeared, and then the goofy principal disappeared, so I don't even know if the school administration is even aware of it anymore." Cally shrugs. "So, yeah, whenever, okay?"
