2nd floor hallway, evening

Okay, sure, Angel had promised Parker and - whaddyacallit - everybody that he was going to avoid Logan.

And Angel had every intention of doing that.

Except for that pesky living on the same floor problem.

But... how much of a problem could that be, really?

Logan's fist was flying through the air before he could consider the wisdom of striking Angel in the school hallway.

The punch was unexpected and connected right in Angel's eye. Then instinct kicked in. He shoved Logan up against the wall, pressing his arm against Logan's chest to hold him still.

Fraser's on a routine check of the floors when he witnesses Logan throwing a punch and Angel retaliating in the middle of the hallway.

"Gentlemen," he says, approaching slowly. "Is there a problem here?"

"Uh huh." Fraser stops just shy of the two teenagers, looking at them both. "If what I saw is correct, you've attacked each other in the school dormitory. Mr. Angel, please step away from Mr. Echolls."

"We were feeling neglected and figured this was the best way to get the attention of an authority figure," Logan responded. "Good reaction time, but I bet you could move a little faster if you put some heart into it. Wanna try again? You go to your cubbyhole or wherever you hang, I'll hit him again and this time, I'll start a stopwatch."

Logan looked at Angel, then back at Fraser. "Right," he said dryly. "It's all my fault. By the way, I also caused the wacky powers incident, blew up Luke's diner and nearly got Rory killed last November."

"Not yet, Mr. Angel," Fraser says, blocking his exits. "Unfortunately, I'm going to have to give both of you detention to be served tomorrow. Whatever exists in your past is not the issue. What is the issue is that you both broke a school rule and endangered each other's safety while doing so. Please report to detention promptly. Both of you. Until then, please stay away from each other and refrain from any further fighting."

Angel glared at the punishment he was being given. But then Logan was agreeing to go along with the distance half of it so -

"Fine. Whatever." He made a shooing motion in Logan's direction. "It can start now."
