Second Floor Common Room - Sunday Evening

The common room is empty, but anyone entering might notice a few changes. Everything is covered in plastic. Not just draped in it though. The plastic has been wrapped tight around all of the furniture and taped with duck tape underneath. The DVD and VCR have been replaced with an old Betamax machine and all of the light bulbs have been painted pink. If one were to look, one might also find numerous toy snakes stuffed into the chairs and sofas (both on top of and underneath the plastic - if it gets removed).

The pinkness of the light is the first thing that strikes Archie when he wanders in. All right, it's actually the emptiness, but right after that, he notices the pinkness.

The expression on his face only grows more and more comical as he looks around, running a hand through his hair. Sadly the comedic value of the Betamax machine is completely lost on him, but not the snakes.

He plunks down onto one of the sofas, plays with a toy snake, and wonders if the partying in here gets that bad sometimes that the furniture has to be protected from vomiting revelers.

"Hey Archie," Callisto grinned and threw the paper aeroplane she'd just folded at him.

Of course, since there was a rubber snake balanced on it, it didn't get very far before crashing.

"Hello, Callisto! A snake on a plane?" laughed Archie. He went over to pick up the toy snake and dangled it in front of him by its tail.

"I hereby name you John Crichton," he told it.

"Poor John wasn't very aerodynamic I'm afraid," Callisto laughed and started folding another piece of paper. "Maybe snakes on kites would be better."

"Or snakes with parachutes?"

[identity profile] psycho-barbie.livejournal.com 2006-03-27 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
"How would that work?" Callisto asked. "Wouldn't they slip out of the harnesses?"

[identity profile] actingltcrumpet.livejournal.com 2006-03-27 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
"I have no idea," admitted Archie, who had only seen parachutes in pictures and really didn't know how they worked. "They might have to be special harnesses."

[identity profile] psycho-barbie.livejournal.com 2006-03-27 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
Callisto thought about it. "I think this is something we need to investigate further."

[identity profile] actingltcrumpet.livejournal.com 2006-03-27 05:22 am (UTC)(link)
"We should," agreed Archie solemnly. "How else are the snakes going to escape the plane if it crashes, anyhow?"

[identity profile] psycho-barbie.livejournal.com 2006-03-27 05:24 am (UTC)(link)
"It would be a terrible thing if no one tried to save the snakes."

[identity profile] actingltcrumpet.livejournal.com 2006-03-27 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
"More or less terrible than not saving the teal deer?"

[identity profile] psycho-barbie.livejournal.com 2006-03-27 05:33 am (UTC)(link)
"More, because the snakes aren't cuddly and have less people looking out for them."

Callisto decided to hijack the second floor common room to do some study in. She blinked when she saw the state of it. "Okay...someone's been smoking the good crack."

Flopping down on a plastic covered couch, she frowned and picked up the snake she'd just sat on. After looking at it for several mintues she got an idea.

She pulled out a sheet of looseleaf and started folding it.

Angel came in. He stared.

"Do I even want to know what people were doing that inspired this?"

Callisto threw another snake on a paper plane at him. "I think it's pretty."

[identity profile] notstakedyet.livejournal.com 2006-03-27 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
Angel narrowly missed getting the plane stuck in his hair.

"It's plastic! Everywhere! With duct tape!"

[identity profile] psycho-barbie.livejournal.com 2006-03-27 05:21 am (UTC)(link)
"So, it's shiny," Callisto shrugged. "And pink light makes everything glowy."

[identity profile] notstakedyet.livejournal.com 2006-03-27 05:22 am (UTC)(link)
Angel came over to sit beside her. "I thought you didn't like pink."

[identity profile] psycho-barbie.livejournal.com 2006-03-27 05:26 am (UTC)(link)
"I don't like wearing it," Callisto said. "But this, way it's reflecting off the walls and the plastic, it's nice."

[identity profile] psycho-barbie.livejournal.com 2006-03-27 05:31 am (UTC)(link)
Callisto leant across to kiss his cheek. "You could say that."

[identity profile] notstakedyet.livejournal.com 2006-03-27 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
"Ahh," Angel put a hand over his heart. "Much better. Do it again?"

[identity profile] psycho-barbie.livejournal.com 2006-03-27 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
"Since you asked so nicely," Callisto didn't roll her eyes as she kissed his other cheek. Well, not much.

[identity profile] notstakedyet.livejournal.com 2006-03-27 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
He might've tried to grab her and pull her into his lap when she did that.

[identity profile] psycho-barbie.livejournal.com 2006-03-27 05:40 am (UTC)(link)
Callisto didn't 'eep' when this happened. Really.

She might, however, have wriggled around to find a comfortable spot.
