Wednesday Morning: Second Floor Common Room

Marty sits in front of his laptop trying to come up with his own personal theory of justice for ACJ.

The theory really shouldn't be much of a problem, it's trying to somehow work a pillow into the concept that's giving him grief.

Anyone who would like to distract him from this task would probably be welcome.

"Cover too much skin and you might as well be wearing a badly fitted suit." Nadia said, as though she had any idea what she was talking about. "You can bare skin and still be very tasteful, but if you cover up too much, you just look dumb."

"I'm going to wear a nun's habit, complete with the wimple." He stuck his tongue out at her. "Try to tell them that what they wear isn't tasteful."

Nadia's eyes widened. "Well, it certainly isn't tasteful for a gay-boy-turned-girl to be wearing to a school dance," She shook her head. "Didn't Alfred teach you anything about dressing appropriately for the given situation?"

Walter couldn't help snickering at that, since it seemed she had taken him seriously. "It would be my luck that wearing a habit would bring Iscariot down on the island to bring wrath and retribution upon us."

"And then we wouldn't be able to take our pilgrimage to Caritas to partake of the holy booze." Nadia agreed, once she'd realized that, dammit, Walter had been kidding about the nun thing.

Stupid nuns.

"We should take that pilgrimage soon. Alfred seems to be keeping a closer eye on the alcohol at Cafe Fina right now. You'd think he knew I wanted it." Or that could just be his guilty conscience.

Maybe he could send Arthur those panatellas in exchange for a few bottles from his reserve...

"Gosh, you'd think," Nadia said, suspecting that Alfred probably did know. "Lorne would be happy to see us, I'm sure."

"You're not going to make me sing." Walter nodded solemnly. "You're already getting me in a prom dress. No singing."

"That would be punishing Lorne, and he has done nothing wrong." Nadia nodded just as solemnly. She wondered if Walter would change his mind if she got him drunk enough.

"I'm glad you're capable of seeing reason after all." Nod. Nod.

With enough alcohol, if his mind couldn't be changed, it could at least be turned to mush. Singing mush.

"I am always capable of seeing reason."

Pot made Walter dance. Perhaps with rum she could encourage singing!
