Bridge is in the Common Room, notebook on his lap as he studies for finals.

Of course, he'd probably be better able to focus on studying if the TV wasn't on. But there it was.

"I can't complain." She rolled her eyes, "Well, I can, but it gets boring. Finals, all that jazz. What's new with you?"

"Just about the exact same. Finals, life is boring, prom was... a learning experience, and more finals." D'anna laughed. "Gods, I can't wait for summer!"

"Do you have proms where you're from? Or, if not proms, dances?"

"We have dances to mark different occasions, like Colonial Day, but no proms. Proms are common where you're from?"

She shrugged. "Only during high school, and then only once a year."

"So we get to do this all again next year?" D'anna looked decidedly less than thrilled.

"Barring unforseen zombies, yep," Sam said, already dreading the build-up. "It's great if you're half of a couple. If you're not, though? Meh."

"Eh, we've survived Zombies." D'anna took another cupcake from Sanders. What? Even cylons chicks from space can be emotional eaters! "You're telling me! It sucks going to all these things solo!"

"At least I got to go with Cameron," Sam said, "even if we did just go as friends. I was alone for the Valentine's Day dance, and, well, I dumped Jack's answering machine the next day because he never bothered to show up. It was pretty miserable."

"You were dating Jack's answering machine?" D raised an eyebrow and grinned teasingly. She hoped that Sam wouldn't throw one of the convenient pillows at her.

"By the end of things, it felt like it," Sam said, sticking her tongue out at D'anna. "I couldn't find him to do it for real, so, well, yeah." She shifted a bit uncomfortably.
