Bridge is in the Common Room, notebook on his lap as he studies for finals.

Of course, he'd probably be better able to focus on studying if the TV wasn't on. But there it was.

"Okay, I got asked this, so I have to ask," Anders said. "What are you avoiding studying for?"

"Right now? ACJ," Anakin said. "Though I have a couple of papers that I'm also trying to forget are due." He ran his hands through his hair. "And that I'm graduating in, like, two weeks."

Anders nodded and fiddled with a loose bit of carpet. "You leavin' us for good after that, huh? Damn. I'm gonna miss you, and I never hung out with you as much as I could've."

Anakin bit his lip. "I'm also working on a message back home to see if they'll let me stay for the summer. But yeah, if they say no...graduation'll be it."

He sighed. "I've never known a year to go past so quickly."

"It's not fair how fast the time goes when there's so much to do and great people to do it with," Anders agreed. "I guess I'm lucky, sorta, but I just have this feeling graduation's even gonna sneak up on me before I realize it."

"It will," Anakin said. "But you've just got to enjoy the present--no sense in worrying about things you can't change, right?"

He glanced down at his chrono. "I've given myself a half-hour to relax. Obi-Wan tells me that I get scary when it comes to studying for things."

That Anakin was rigidly timing his relaxation period? Probably not what Obi-Wan had in mind.

"Yeah." Anders shook his head. "How come I can give other people that advice and forget to follow it myself?"

He eyed the chrono and raised an eyebrow. "Please tell me you're not counting by the second, dude."

Anakin shrugged. "Sounds different when it comes from someone else, I think."

He glanced down at his chrono again and blushed. "Maybe?" he said. "I just want to do well, you know?"
