5th Floor Common Room - Tuesday During and After the Meet and Greet

It's the 5th floor common room.

There's a sign on the kitchenette counter that says, "Pancakes being kept warm in oven. Help yourself and don't burn the place down."

There's also a horse in here.

A white horse with dark spots.

Watching TV.

Bitterwoman is on.

"Jane Eyre," Angela answered. "It just feels like a day for a classic, y'know?"

She scrunched up her brow. "Can I ask you something kind of weird, Peter?"

"That's one of my sister's favourite books. Though I have to say I've never read it." Peter looks a bit sheepish. Or as sheepish as you can while leaning against a horse.

"Anything at all, my Lady."

"What year is it at home for you?" Angela asked. "The last person to call me Lady was from the 14th century, but I don't think they had Jane Eyre yet."

Peter might have blushed a bit at the question. "Well, it's a bit of a long explanation. I'm definitely not from the 14th century, but you're the second person to mention that in relation to me. I was sent out of London during the Blitz during the second World War with my sisters and brothers. We ended up...well, we ended up in a situation where the courtly manners of our past were used exclusively. It's been like that for four years, and well, some habits need to be broken. Then again, some don't. Does that explain it perhaps?"

"Pretty much," Angela said. "I'm from 1996, so I'm a little closer than you, but same idea. But we definitely didn't need courtly manners back home."

She gave Peter a thoughtful look. "There's this guy Walter who I think is also from London around then. You should say hi."

"Is there anyone here at Fandom who comes from here? This dimension, this time? Or is Fandom basically outside of all that?"

"Walter? I shall try to speak to him at some point. Thank you for the suggestion."

"I think the dimension is kind of unique," Angela said slowly, as she still wasn't sure how the whole thing worked. "But this time, as in 2006? Lots of people."

"It's just one of those mysteries that makes this a special place?" Peter grinned.

"I should go settle into my room before my roommate comes up." He gestured at his pile of things in the corner of the common room. "I shouldn't like to disturb her later." He bowed slightly to Angela. "Good night, La-Angela. Sweet dreams."

"It's definitely a Fandom thing," Angela said, returning to her book. "And sweet dreams to you too, Peter."
