Third Floor Common Room, Tuesday Afternoon

After tossing her stuff down on one of the beds in room 317 and investigating the duffel bag (SPD cadet uniforms and workout clothes with the SPD logo, basic toiletries, a towel or two, an alarm clock, a music player with headphones, a wad of cash she wasn't entirely sure was supposed to be there, and an SPD handbook) Z took the handbook and went down the hall to the third floor common room to try to read it and hopefully meet some of her floormates.

She took a seat on a comfy-looking couch and opened the book at random. "Cadets shall not enter other cadets' living quarters without express permission. Good rule. I like that rule."

Anyone entering the room would find Z engrossed in her book.

A minute or so after Z sat down, Bridge comes wandering out of the Common Room's kitchen area, stack of *fingerwiggle* buttery toast in hand.

Okay, huh. He... hadn't really expected to see someone else in an SPD uniform around here. So he just sort of... stands behind her, peering over her shoulder and munching quietly on toast.

Z glanced up to find a stranger reading over her shoulder. She couldn't really see enough of his clothes yet to realize he was her fellow SPD cadet. "What are you doing?" she asked, kind of annoyed.

Trying to get her bearings, Dawn poked her head into the common room. "Hello?"

"Hey, another new person!" Bridge waves. "Hi!"

Tyler roamed into the common room and sprawled on a couch like he owned it. He pulled out a marked-up chemistry textbook and began flipping through it.

Eventually, he kind of nodded at the other people in the room.

Alphonse wandered by and saw, hey, not only did the common room kind of have activity, but there were new people too. He came by and waved. "Hi there! Another new student?"

"There's a huge opening down the left side of the field, and here comes McKnight with the ball and an open shot at the net! Oh! Check out that sweet bit of footwork! Here comes the shot -- McKnight! GOAL! YES!"

The miniature red soccer ball actually makes its physical presence known in the room first, but Conner comes barrelling in right after it, doing the FISTPUMP OF VICTORY!

"People!" he says, snagging the ball and waving at the room. "Hi."

Alphonse was a bit startled by the sudden noise, but turned to wave at the stranger. "Hello!"

Jaye would not ordinarily be seen on the third floor, as it is not only uncool, but it is made uncooler by being Peter Parker's floor. But then again...

She frowns, seeing the crowd. "Why are you all new?" she asks.

Peter wandered down the hall to the common room. He had to meet new people who weren't living in his room sometime. Might as well be now.

"Hello, new people! And less new people."

Greg wandered out into the common room and, feeling awkward, took a seat on a couch.

"Hey," he said to no one in particular.

Alphonse waved to yet another new person because OMG, life on the third floor common room. "Hello there!"

Tim wandered into the common room, having just finished unpacking his stuff. he was inwardly "eeeee"ing at having a dresser, closet, and bed.

"Hey Conner." he greeted. He smiled at Dawn. No Deja Vu this time. They hadn't actually gotten introduced before. So really the only one in the room that he knew was his room mate. "Hi other people."

494 was on his way to check out his room, which meant going through the common room. And Molly must've been playing him, 'cause this place was way more alive than the second floor. The dorm could wait a few more minutes anyway. So he found a spot to sit and took it.
