Gym Open Early

According to the information packet the gym facilities were for everyone. Elle rolled out of bed, washed her face and put her hair into a ponytail and went down to get some quality time with the StairMaster before the crowd came in.

The gym did get crowded, right?

[ooc: open for everyone! And now in the right spot!]

Cameron chuckled. "I have no clue, I'm just amazed that for some reason the entire bar doesn't stink."

"They must have really good deodorant," Tyler mused.

"So other than the gym and the bar with the zombies, what is there to do for fun around here?"

"If you're not into karaoke, there's always a night club. I haven't been there yet myself. There's the theater, thing is that most of their movies suck but I shouldn't say that as I work there," Cameron considered it. "The ice rink closed a while back. There's always the beach or the pool in the basement here. Other than that? There's the common rooms. The 2nd floor usually has someonthing going on."

"Third was pretty busy yesterday," Tyler noted. "I'll have to walk down the stairs sometime to check out two. And the other stuff you mentioned."

He rose from the bench, flexing his arms, and jumped on a treadmill. "Time for cardio."

"Third floor is deluded," Cameron joked and sat up. "I take it you're going to be here a lot?"

"Every day, if I can manage it," Tyler said, picking up his pace. "The gym where I was before sucked. Now I'm all about mens sana, corpore sano."

"Healthy mind, healthy body?" Cameron guessed as his latin wasn't all too great. He got up from the machine and went to fetch a pair of gloves to work on the punching bag.

Tyler tapped his index finger on his nose. "Exactly, my friend."

He watched Cameron with the punching bag. "You box? I've done some."

"Not exactly pure straight boxing, but sort of," Cameron nodded, pausing a moment in between hits. "I was in Self-Defense class last semester and Aeryn's been teaching me some things as well. You spar?"

[identity profile] tyler-gone.livejournal.com 2006-05-10 05:24 pm (UTC)(link)
"Could say that," Tyler said. "Like what I said earlier, it's a good place for agression to go. And I think the way you are in a fight tells you a lot about who you are. Know what I mean?"

[identity profile] cameronmitchell.livejournal.com 2006-05-10 05:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Cameron frowned as he considered that. "Yeah, I think I do. I'm not exactly sure what it says about me, but I can see it."

[identity profile] tyler-gone.livejournal.com 2006-05-10 05:42 pm (UTC)(link)
"It takes a while to see what's there," Tyler acknowledged.

He quirked a half-smile. "Want to spar sometime and we can see what we see?"

[identity profile] cameronmitchell.livejournal.com 2006-05-10 05:47 pm (UTC)(link)
"Sure," Cameron grinned. "I'm usually around so it shouldn't be too hard finding me."

[identity profile] tyler-gone.livejournal.com 2006-05-10 05:50 pm (UTC)(link)
"Excellent," Tyler said, shutting off the treadmill and stretching once more. "It's been too long for me."

He tossed his towel over his shoulder. "Later, Cam."

"Later, man. Don't let the gremlins bite," he said before turning back towards the punching bag.
