3rd, 2nd and 1st floor and outside, Thursday Noon

Laden with a duffle bag and a backpack, Angela felt like she was moving everything she owned as she prepared to head to the airport. Or, more accurately, she was carrying half of what she owned and making Marty carry the other half.

Not quite idly, she wondered if she should add a sweater. Or another pair of pajamas. And maybe she should have bought a third swimsuit.

Of course, she wasn't obsessing over packing because she didn't want to think about how much she would miss everyone at school. Nope. Not at all.

The thought made her sigh, so she crammed one more book into her duffle and surveyed the current pile of luggage, then began to idly pace the lobby, waiting for the rickshaw cab.

On his way back from the gym, Cameron headed through the lobby.

"Going somewhere?" He asked, noticing the bags and realising he hadn't asked them about their summer plans before.

Angela grinned. "Tahiti. Then Pittsburgh. Then ... we aren't sure. We're taking a break from Fandom."

"That's cool. How long will you be gone?" Cameron asked. "Or are we going to have to do without you guys until Fall?"

"Seven weeks, I think?" Angela ventured. "We're back before the second half of summer term starts."

Marty huffed down the stairs carrying some of the luggage. "Next year? Can you get a room on the first floor?"

He then looked around at the pile of luggage.

"We're going to need a bigger cab."

Angel happened to bump into them in the hallway. "Hey, guys. Leaving for vacation?"

"Hi, Angel. That's what it looks like, anyhow."

She rubbed her forehead.

"I think I'm already starting to miss this place."

"I get that," Angel said. "Um - I should say goodbye to you guys. I'm leaving tomorrow."

"Half of this is yours, and nice Teeth reference," Angela told him. "And I like the third floor. You could move too, ya know."

She let out a groan at the pile of luggage.

"But I think you're right about the cab anyhow."

"Okay I only packed the stuff *you* bought for me," Marty said stepping in front of one particular suitcase as though to hide it.

Rory managed to nearly trip over one of Angela's bags in her haste to catch them. "Oh, good. I was afraid I was going to miss saying goodbye," she said, smiling at both of them.

"Nope, you caught us," Angela said. "I would've found you if you hadn't."

"How long are you leaving for, again?" Rory asked, frowning. "And you're sending, like, postcards and stuff, right?"

"Can't have that Gilmore," Marty said with a grin. "Anything you want from Tahiti?"

"Sand," Rory said. "I would like a handful of sand from Tahiti."

Parker came down to the lobby with a bottle of champagne and a disposable camera. "Take lots of pictures. And drink a toast with this when you're in Tahiti."

Marty smiled and almost gave Parker a hug. "Parker? I officially take back all the snarky things I've said about you."

"Historic moment," Angela said, tucking the champagne into one of the bags. "Take care of things here, okay, Parker? Don't let the new kids burn the school down."

Grinning, Parker said, "You so do not. But you can just add on any cool things you want to say to balance it out. Damn, I can't believe how much I'm going to miss you guys. I'm just glad you're not going to be gone the entire summer."

"Hey," Logan said, spotting them. "Where are you headed?"

"Hi Logan," Angela said. "Tahiti. Then Pittsburgh. Then .... we're kind of going to see what happens."

"Mostly? We need a break from Fandom."

"Tahiti... sounds better than Pittsburgh. I get that, though. Gonna be taking off myself tomorrow afternoon. Have a good time," Logan said.

Some time after hanging out in the common room and introducing Peter Pevensie to the concept of the frozen mocha, Janet stopped to say goodbye to Marty and Angela.

"Yeah, I can't believe you guys are going away for so long," said Janet. I assume that was in the handwavey message? "It'll be weird not having you here."
