Logan was in the kitchen. Cooking. Because when you were in a kitchen, working with a blender, you could call it cooking. Even if the result was more beverage-y than food-y. It was practically summer, anyway. Perfect time for a cold iced drink. With tequila.

The television was playing "Annie".

"I try," he nodded. "I'm willing to make a sacrifice for the good of the school."

"And we greatly appreciate the sacrifices you are willing to make," Veronica said solemnly. Cause, really, the image of Cam rolling around half naked in jello was pretty.

It wasn't like Cameron didn't have similar images in his head, really. Still, it might be an idea to change the subject. "I saw that you're doing a worshop this summer?"

"Yep. Photography. You gonna sign up and let me teach you a few things?" Veronica asked.

Cameron frowned. "I don't know if I'm the artistic type."

"Well, if you change your mind, I'd be glad to give you some pointers," Veronica offered.

"Thanks," he smiled. "I signed up for flight and wilderness survival for now. I'm not sure yet what else I'm going to sign up for."

"Why am I not surprised that you signed up for flight?" Veronica teased.

"I don't know, I usually keep my love for flying pretty well hidden. Maybe you're a mindreader? Or you've been practicing that private investigator stuff on me. Should I be worried?" He narrowed his eyes.

"Damn, you caught me," Veronica said. "I was hoping to expose all your deep, dark secrets."

"Really now?" Cameron raised an eyebrow. "And what would those be?"

"Your love of flying, for one thing," Veronica said. "And your addiction to 'The Smurfs' for another."

"That's so Archie's fault," he protested quickly, trying hard not to laugh.

"Riiiiiight," Veronica said. "I'm sure that the guy from the 19th century introduced you to a cartoon from the 80s."

"Yep," he leaned forward to make a very serious suggestion. "Maybe you should pull that investigator thing on him. I got an inkling that he might actually be an 80s cartoon addict."

"Don't you think it would be in bad taste for me investigate the guy I'm dating?" Veronica asked. Yes, she was aware of how hypocritical she was being and no, she didn't care.

"True," Cameron considered it. "It says that you don't trust him so that might be a bad idea. Then again, if he's been able to hide his Smurfs addiction this might actually be serious enough to break that rule. It'd be for his safety, no?"

"Ah, but see, he hasn't been hiding it. Do you know how many times he's used the word 'smurfy' on the air during his radio broadcasts?" Veronica pointed out. "Seems to me that you're the one that's defensive about it."

Cameron pulled back and tilted his head. "Sounds to me like you need to dig deeper and find out why I'm trying to hide this. Maybe there's some big childhood drama behind it. You never know."

"This is very true," Veronica agreed, tilting her head back at him. "So, tell me, did you have a traumatic Smurfs-related experience in your child hood?"

Cameron frowned and tilted his head the other way. "You're not being very sneaky with your investigation," he decided.

"Sometimes being direct is easier than being sneaky," Veronica said simply.

"But what if I can't tell you? My life might be in danger if I ever tell anyone else. Have you considered that? This might go beyond the Secret Banana Society." He really needed to start making sense one of these days.

Veronica's eyes grew wide. "The Secret Banana Society?" she repeated. "If you're involved with them, you're in danger anyway."

"Depends on how deep in I am," Cameron tried to sound very mysterious.
